1.5lb this week meaning I have lost 8lb in 2 weeks since starting back on it. For those working in new money that puts me at 124.3kgs now, down from 127.95

On to the next week biggrin

Afternoon all

I rather fell off the wagon on this one a long while ago. Got into some bad habits using my emotional state as an excuse.

Back up on my feet now and keen to eat away at the 14st 1 lb I am with a target of getting myself back down to 12 - maybe a sniff under.

I'm 5 9'

Returned to the gym this morning and whilst still not being particularly scenic (regardless of definition biggrin) the overall experience was better than last week. It's still not my favourite past-time but will fulfil a purpose for when the weather gets too inclement to be outside. It was incredibly busy though and apparently evenings are just as bad. I'm going to have to suck it up as I'm back to work tomorrow and evenings will be my only choice.

I haven't stepped on the scales yet this week as it's too close after the weekend. Will do so on Friday when I'll have had a few days of being very good to recover from the treats biggrin

The gym thing is funny, initially you hate it, then you get into it and actively want to go, you cant just dip a toe in, I see people turn up never to be seen again as initially it is horrible, the more you go, the more you want to go.

Got another week or so of our old one until we start at Total Fitness, bigger and better but will be quite a wrench after a year of three times a week.

First couple of weeks I hated it, had to drag myself to it. I'm looking forward to going tomorrow now! Never thought that would happen.

I just end up sat round at home otherwise, on here biggrin

Its the feeling afterwards that is the main draw, waking up the following morning and feeling better, maybe a bit sore, noticing small differences in how you look and how clothes fit.

Still, feeling like a fat knacker, down a bit to 15.2 though, definitely added a bit of muscle along with that in the last ten weeks, so not beating myself up too much, even so cant be more than a couple of pounds.

Weighed in at a thoroughly disappointing and shameful 99.8KG on Monday evening.

This means not only do I weigh more now than at the start of the quarter, I weigh more than the start of the year. Hoping some of it is this water retention you lot talk about, and maybe 1-2kg will fall off this week. But I'm resolute for the rest of the year now (excepting two special occasions already in my diary).

120.5kg this morning. Getting there slowly. I think my goal of 110kg by November wont be possible, but if I can get to 115kg I'll be happy, that will be two stone lost.

Friend at work is trying to lose weight so trying to find a way of helping each other, little competition or something.

Woke up at 10am and really didn't want to go to the gym as its busy (not a fan of crowds at the gym), but went anyway. Didn't push myself that much on the bike, started doing two minutes at 120 watts then two minutes at 170+ for 20 minutes. Can do around seven miles in 24 minutes (four minutes cool down). Today was 6.68 miles in 24 minutes.

Weights I'm getting a bit bored...need to find something different. I'm worried about pushing them too hard as I don't want to ache when I'm on duty later so a bit wary.

Didn't help that the bloke on the bench next to me was someone I've sent to court for their speeding...decided to move rather quickly!

Back on the scales at the gym today and down a KG to 122

Not ideal but at least it's now coming off again!

Thanks for the chart update Fred

Weigh in was this morning and although I'm not quite back to pre-holiday weight I'm almost there at 75.1 kg so that's another 0.45 kg off this week.I'm telling myself the little bit extra is because I'm back to building muscle again biggrin

The weather was miserable last night and I'm pleased to report that instead of settling down on the sofa and hiding from the rain I went to the gym instead. It wasn't too busy and the hour passed quickly enough. I wouldn't say I enjoyed it but I didn't hate it either and I did feel much better for it. It was also quieter than I expected which was a bonus.

An even bigger bonus was the amount of people at work who have been commenting on my weight loss. It's been very gradual over the course of this year so they hadn't noticed when they saw me every day. After a couple of weeks away quite a few have noticed the difference in me. Some have even asked me how I've managed it and been quite pee'd off by hearing it's simply down to eating less and exercising more laugh

I am 1.3kg down since Monday. Heading in the right direction again.

Am I ok not to declare what I actually weigh though? My current target is 15kg off, then reassess.

I don't see why not? It certainly doesn't bother me if you don't want to declare your weight - you could always use % lost if that's easier.

I had a very busy and very energetic day yesterday. My work takes part in an open doors event whereby the general public are able to visit buildings that are usually closed to them. I spent 6 hours doing non-stop tours of the building - all 5 floors of it. I was utterly knackered when I got home last night and there's bits of me aching that don't usually hurt. I suspect I'll be giving the gym a miss today biggrin

Post what you like in here. Post your weight or not it's up to you. It's anonymous and no one cares what you weigh, it's a support group if anything.

Day of my weigh in has changed to a Monday. Hoping it will keep on me track over the weekends. Down to 119kg today, loss of 8.6kg so far. Just under two months left until my goal at the start of 15kg. I'm not going to get to that, but will still be happy if I get 10kg+ lost in that time.

Friend from work was away for two weeks and noticed when she got back which was nice. Clothes are getting baggy again and can finally fit into a pair of 40" jeans I've not been able to for a long time.

Off to the gym now. Still not happy with the routine I have, getting bored, but it appears to be working at the moment.

Looking at percentages, I have lost 13% of my body weight since Christmas, with my current target being 28% overall - likely to be well over 30% at the final result yikes

Assuming I can keep it up, that is

Outstanding. How are you feeling?

I'm at around only 2.5% loss so far - pretty pathetic but very very sustainable.

Thank you!

How am I feeling? Lumpy, so I don't feel that much smaller yet. Reading round, I may have to get below 18-20% body fat, at least temporarily, if I want everything to even out. I will probably have to take up weights to achieve that. Right now I am doing minimal exercise, but intermittent fasting with low carb/high fat seems to be the only thing that works, exercise or not.

2.5% is not an inconsiderable amount, and it's a big step along the path. How have you achieved it? Any particular plan?
