Keto diet - anyone else?

Next question - once you hit target weight what's a good way of staying there? What sort of daily "carb intake" is wise? I've been working to 20g/day at the minute, what can I realistically increase this to?
Work out your macros to maintain your weight ,basically so your not in a calorie/macro deficit Just starting out on keto I've done it before but fell off the wagon for numerous reasons. Lunch is my problem I was wondering if a subway salad would be keto friendly? Spicey Italian salad with lettuce, olives, jalapenos, gurkins with a high-fat dressing should be ok right?
What other options do you take for lunch I was thinking tuna with full fay mayo seems to be an easy keto fix. Other option I was considering was fasting and having 1 meal a day keto suppresses my appetite so much I don't find this a challenge at all.

I've been doing Keto since January 8th. I also started the Couch-to-5k programme in November last year. So far I've gone from 18st 12lbs to 16st 11lbs as of Sunday, and I'm running 3 x 5km at circa 28 minutes each time.
Part of me is elated at such good progress over a short period but another part of me is annoyed that I've waited until I'm 41 to try and get my arse in better shape!
I'm getting a bit bored of bacon/sausage/egg for breakfast and have started to skip breakfast on some days. Omelettes are starting to make me feel sick!
Can't get enough chicken though

Roast chicken, bacon bits, avocado and broccoli all mixed up with full fat mayo and a good handful of Parmesan. Maybe some chipotle chilli flakes if I fancy a kick. Doesn’t help with your original question but it’s easy enough to throw together before work or the night before.
This sounds very good, your username got me thinking about carbs again though ArsE92 said:

As cheesy as it sounds I think I just want to be the best version of myself for as long as possible now. My son is 4 and I don't want to be the fat/unhealthy Dad at Sports Days and Dad's v Lad's football etc.
I think maybe another half stone off then start looking at adding muscle. I've had good success with P90x in the past so I think I'll start doing the upper-body stuff from that on alternate days.
Diet-wise, I don't really miss bread and I never thought I'd say that. I miss pizza, and there's a keto-friendly pizza-base you can make but i've not got round to trying that.
For anyone thinking of starting a 'transformation' then I'd say do lots of reading on Reddit. It's been amazing for me and I wouldn't have achieved anything without the folks on r/c25k, r/keto & r/ketogains. Some of the progress pictures on there are truly inspirational.

Thanks, mate I'll take a look at Reddit I'm not keto at the moment but I'm very low carb. I'm about 19 half stone at the moments need to shift about 3 1/3 stone and I should be about 15% body fat. Best of luck.
ArsE92; As you’re thinking of doing P90X, I’ve had some decent success with Keto coupled with 5x5 StrongLifts. I’d never even done a deadlift back in September but just cracked out 5 reps of 142.5kg today.
Shirts that used to be snug on the chest and shoulders when I was three stone heavier are still snug in the chest and shoulders but like tents around the middle. Trousers are still snug around my thighs and arse but have 6”+ round the waist. I ignored the diet plan, obviously, but it’s actually quite low in carbs anyway.

Oh, didn't realise we had a keto thread on the go!
I switched to a hard Keto diet at the start of the new year. No real reason other than I was putting on a bit of timber and Keto looked like a short, sharp fix.
Anyway, I started at 17st 2lbs (108kg). I'm 31 years old, 6' 1" and pretty broad. I still had a bit of a gut though and I haven't done any real exercise for a year or two.
I did hard Keto for arond 5 weeks (lmax 20g of carbs per day) which was interesting, to say the least. I basically had to rethink my entire eating habit. Thankfully the OH decided to get involved as well, so evening meals were a joint carb-free effort.
I found it quite difficult needing to plan my food intake in advance; I spent the first week hardly eating because I forgot to prepare my meal and anything within easy reach was carb heavy. Work especially, as most food is sandwiches, biscuits, chocolate, sausage rolls etc. Eventually got into the swing of things though, replacing my usual lunch with celery, ham and cheese sandwiches (using little gem lettuce leaves in lieu of bread), avocados and peperamis.
Nights out weren't too bad, I'm not a lager fan, but I do love Guiness and G&T. I switched these out for single malt whiskey. I'm a big whiskey fan, but it is an expensive and heavy night just drinking single malt
Then I really got into it, reading every label at the supermarket, cutting out anything that had more than 2g of carbs per serving etc. It is crazy how many carbs are in some of the most basic things. My banned list included the usual suspects, but also:
sweetcorn
bananas
carrots
any sausage not 100% pork
nuts
tomatoes
any fruit juice
By the end of the 5 weeks, managed to drop my weight down to 15st 10lbs. That is without doing any exercise either.
I've switched over to low carb now, so basically keeping off bread, pasta, potato. pastry, cakes etc, but I'm back on most fruit and veg. Soft carb limit is 50g per day with a cheat weekend once a month (I seriously miss chicken and mushroom tagliatelle).
Starting back on the weights and running in the next few weeks, so my weight will probably start picking back up, but it with muscle mass rather than fat.
It's really weird now, I'm not sure I could go back full carb again. I feel so much better, more energy , far less sluggish in the afternoon and generally just better.

are there 100% meat sausages in the supermarket?
weight probably won't go up, it'll more likely plateaux, unless you;'re gonna do some heavy x 3 a week

I've struggled to find any that are proper 100% pork. Thankfully we have a few of those wholesale butchers nearby, so I tend to source all my meat from there.
I'll be going heavy on the weights. I used to do a lot of kick boxing and abused the gym 4/5 days a week until 3 years ago (new job, couldn't fit the gym in). I'm still carrying a bit of muscle, but far less than I used to and it is hidden under my smooth, squiggy exterior
I'm hoping muscle memory will kick in and give me a bit of a boost.
