Yes, it'll come. If you're properly in ketosis, you should hardly ever be hungry. Like, "I should probably set an alarm so I don't forget to eat" sort of not hungry.

If you're still hungry, just push through for a few days. Don't try to satisfy your cravings by upping portions of keto foods. It won't work. Your body is screaming for sugar, and that takes a few days to go away. Next week, you'll look at that same breakfast and struggle to finish it. smile

My %ages in MFP are:

Carbs 5% 19g
Protein 20% 75g
Fat 75% 125g

Total calories is 1500 which seems a bit low?

Thanks for the pointers, I'll switch to butter today!

Is everyone using MFP free to track their fat and protein goals?

3 scrambled eggs 3 bacon, coffee with tiny bit of milk for breakfast. I'm still hungry in the morning but think that may decrease as I get into it?

Off to supermarket in an hour to stock up.

2 garlick cloves?

You don't shop/cook often do you hehe They come as a whole unit.

The smaller chains Lidl/Aldi will also have all that list, apart from Macadamia, they do walnut/almond/cashew/hazlenut/pecan and brazil iirc

I would say get more eggs if you are having 3 a day, as expiry date tends to be a few weeks, also get more of the meat and freeze, will mean you can do smaller and quicker shopping in future.

If you put enough cream in it, then just a nice hot cup of fresh morning coffee can probably count as a bit of a nano-breakfast in terms of topping-up the reservoir until lunchtime. I use a massive dollop of extra thick double cream in mine.

Lovely creamy energy lick

Ha a good point about garlic! biggrin. I knew what I meant!

I don't currently run a freezer, but think I'll do a Costco or musclefood order and freeze lots then.

Food bill was almost double what it normally was but I guess there are lots of initial purchases to make.

OK so I'm thinking of giving it a shot.
Good man! One of the best things I've ever done, and actually quite easy to stick to.

Googling diet plans results in lots of fancy recipes or ones that need a huge variety of ingredients. I think I'd be bankrupt by week 2 (assuming I could even find half of it!)

Is there anything the matter with:

Breakfast:
Three pieces of smoked bacon
Three scrambled eggs
Large tumbler of water.

Lunch:
Chicken breast pan fried in some fry light coconut spray. Or Thighs roasted the night before.
Boiled or microwaved broccoli
Handful of almonds or any other recommended nut.

Tea:
Same as lunch, maybe a salmon fillet instead or a steak.
Broccoli, spinach and kale.

I'm an absolute brew fiend so will change to decaff coffee with some double cream?

Plus sprinkling salt on each meal to prevent sodium deficit. Vitamin tablet each day too.

Keen and enthusiastic but can't be arsed with super fancy food biggrin

Works?
I tend to eat similar to your proposed meals. Maybe throw in a steak here and there.

I tend to have two eggs and two bacon in the morning (not every morning). Fried in butter though. Proper butter!

Loads of chicken and salmon, and the broccoli or cauliflower rice from Asda/Sainsburys is decent enough.

I had a Marks and Spencer Chicken Madras at the weekend (8g of carbs) with cauli rice. Gorgeous and reasonably guilt-free if I've been low carb through the day.

I started on January 8th at 18st 12lbs, and as of yesterday I was 16st 8lbs. I need to start looking at what adjustments to make now though as I'll be training with weights soon and need to get some muscle back on.

Thats for the pointers smile

Made some beef mince burgers with mozzerella inside today for lunch and tea.

Is Keto pretty good with weight training? I carry a fair amount of muscle under my fat and don't want to lose it all hehe

You’d probably have to try it yourself but I really struggled with all physical activity for the first few weeks. Five months later and I don’t struggle in the gym and have made some decent (beginner) gains - visibly and in the amounts I’m lifting. That being said, if I have a cheat day with a load of carbs I do find the gym session the following day to be more intense and a lot easier!

People using keto for body building etc - has anyone measured their fat percentage? What numbers are you getting down to?

Just thinking about how I’m never hungry so my body must be getting it’s energy from stored fat now, so it’ll be interesting to see how much fat can be lost.

I'm not sure what the point is with those pics, ATM?

Two of the least keto photos I can imagine. Is that the point?

I thought they were relatively high fat and low carb. Am I doing it wrong?

Just my opinion, but the yoghurt is too sweet (naturally). Unless I'm looking at the wrong version online, a portion is 8g carbs. Try Alpro Soya/Almond or Coconut flavours to cut that to about 2-3g per serving. I see the Total is quite high in protein, but I'd be looking for other ways to get your protein, as 8g carbs is too high a price to pay for it.

The carrots on the (bloomin' delicious looking) roast are too high in sugars too. And that quantity of peas is too (a few might be ok, but they are sweet). I'd ditch those and have some broccoli or a bit more cabbage instead.

And is that potato on there? If it is, that's pretty much game over.

The tiniest portion of potato which is covered in cream and butter. I can load up on cabbage next time. So I need to ditch carrots and spuds and peas -wouldn't leave much. They have leak - am I allowed that?
