Bingo. Lindt 90% is less than 0.7g sugar per square. I’m diabetic and even I can just about get away with that! One square a day maximum. It’s my treat too, also with coffee I normally skip rather than fake, but...

It's a bit of effort, but it's really good.

Crap. Knocked myself out again. I started lifting weights just recently so I’ve upped my protein intake a little bit...slight increase in fasting blood glucose, blood ketones down...excessive pissing. Is it normally such a fine line staying in ketosis, or just for us weirdo diabetics?
Two months since I stopped doing Keto and my weight has stayed exactly where it was at 82.5kg. Good news for me and shows those who say you’ll put the weight straight back on when you stop Keto that it’s not the case.
I think a few of the habits of Keto have stuck with me; bread is a bit of a treat or when there’s nothing else on offer, I’ve no desire to eat pasta or potatoes other than a few with my Sunday roast and I don’t often eat snacks any more.
However, I’ve been drinking beer quite a bit, ate two entire boxes of M&S Belgian chocolates in two sittings and have been enjoying a few Magnum ice creams in the sunshine. I think I’ve found a happy medium between generally eating low carb and having the occasional splurge on sugary stuff or beer. Seems to be working anyway.
That being said, I’m starting back on Keto today as I want to shift another stone before the summer holidays in July - pate, cheese and avocado for lunch!

I dont even know how to tell if i'm in or not...? Just guessing by keeping carbs down to ~25g and i'm losing weight so i guess its working!
You can get ketostix (urine strips) which will give you a broad idea of the level of waste ketones in your pee. Alternatively you can buy blood ketone meters, but the test strips are very expensive. I only test once a week, or when I suspect a change/shift. Generally if you’re feeling great all the time and getting leaner, you’re almost certainly in ketosis Crumpet said:

That's really interesting! My aim is to get from 16 stone down to maybe 14 (or a bit less) then come off it gradually. Not going back to mountains of tatties and pasta but beer, i miss beer. My ideal weight would be around 14 stone i think. My (vegan, marathon running) wife is convinced that keto is the most unhealthy diet imaginable but she cant argue with the weight loss, 1 stone in just over 2 weeks! She's adamant that when i stop i'll put all the weight back on and more.

If you do what you always did you'll get what you always gotSo if you go back to your old ways you will put it all back on , however if you keep carbs down and refined carbs out of your diet you cannot lay down fat
Exactly. If you don’t want to put the weight back on then don’t stop. Why would you want to stop anyway? Fat tastes insanely nice and fuels your body.
Unfortunately most people have it so ingrained that eating dietary fat makes you fat, that they simply will not listen, and will challenge anyone who dares to question the status quo. Usually whilst they have sugar coursing through their inflamed arteries.
