Fred, I'm monthly not weekly but would like to be on the thingy please?
79.3 kg this morning, it's tiny amounts but it's also starting to feel like a proper sustained loss now. More or less stopped eating between meals.
Sorry, I wasn't excluding you on purpose - I just missed your first post in the thread, and now its back on page 1 I wouldnt have noticed unless you said something so its a good job you piped up.79.3 kg this morning, it's tiny amounts but it's also starting to feel like a proper sustained loss now. It's crisis after crisis at work today and I'm really having to fight the urge to go and buy one of the gooey chocolate chip cookies the local coffee shop sells. The carrot sticks just aren't cutting it
Maybe if I went and bought some nutella...
Stay strong, you can do it!Maybe if I went and bought some nutella...
I am struggling to keep to the plan. There's a lot going on, and intermittent fasting just hasn't been possible. Carbs have crept up too, unfortunately, though my big cheat food at the moment is actually raw carrot lol
If the wheels fall off properly then my big weaknesses are crisps and salmon nigiri, but it hasn't got that far yet.
However, this is definitely going to be another poor week and I am likely to be posting another overall gain on Saturday
A little of that will be water weight as I've started running again and will have some muscle inflammation, but I've got to be honest, a lot of it is just comfort eating.

How's the couch to 5k going oldbanger?

I stayed away from the chocolate in the end and it was worth it as I'm now down to 71.5 kg. I'd like to get down to 71 kg by next week as after that I'm away again for work and no doubt that will mean a bad result for the last week in November. I might surprise myself... but I probably won't

Great stuff, well done on your willpower and progress ... work trips are a bugger for weight loss, so fingers crossedHow's the couch to 5k going oldbanger?
I have finished week 2 of couch to 5k and am due to start week 3 today. The very first time I went out the week 1 podcast wouldn't play and I debated going back to download it again but ended up playing week 2 instead. It's my second go at this, so it wasn't too hard to be honest. I can't get out until well after 10pm unfortunately, and running in the dark hasn't been as easy as it was in the summer. I also still have Achilles tendonitis, but my physio told me to get back out running, so I am doing that.
I am also doing krav maga and ended up at a different session from usual this week - this instructor had us all doing burpees for the first 5 minutes. Now that hurt!

Good stuff, keep going. but not the burpees, they are torture! I have finished week 2 of couch to 5k and am due to start week 3 today. I'm considering working running back into my exercise routine but not c25k. My physio gave me a very gentle back to running programme that starts with 3 minutes walking 30 seconds running for 2-3 miles and slowly increases the running time over the course of 7 weeks to no walking at all. I'm hoping the combination of that and the weight loss so far will fool my knackered ankle into not realising it's running again until it's too late
Update.
Slowly dropping, now at 98.43 kilos. That's about 3kg for the month but I expect some of it is balanced by increase in muscle after going to circuits weekly. Have limited my crisp addiction to a pack a day, watching portion sizes in the week. Have not made any changes to my social consumption of alchohol because frankly I'd never keep it up. I want to make a change that I can sustain.

5.5lb off this week, so am now 17st 8.5lb (112.05kgs)
Had my annual diabetic review yesterday. I'm 23kgs down from last year, my blood pressure is lower (not that it was overly high). Just got to wait for my bloods to come back now
Now to start talks with the doctor about reducing my meds!

Hi Crumpet
I'm 6' 3"
Ah, tall then! I was just wondering from a BMI point of view in relation to myself and how much risk I’d put myself in terms of diabetes. I was BMI 34 but showed no signs of diabetes - yet. Now down at 29 with a view to maintaining 25-26.I'm 6' 3"
Speaking with a couple of very fit guys they allow their weight to increase by no more than 3kg before taking action. I think that’ll be my intention as well - relax the diet but monitor and don’t let the weight get away like last time.
Good work anyway!

Cheers. Was up around 38 on the BMI but now down to 31.5. To be honest I am aiming somewhere around 26-27 as the index says I need to be under 14.5 stones and would look ridiculousSpeaking with a couple of very fit guys they allow their weight to increase by no more than 3kg before taking action.
