Thanks Fred for posting the stats

I had hoped to be posting a further loss but I'm holding at 71.5 kg. I'm expecting a gain next week but will try and be good. Unfortunately the work trip is for this https://www.foodmatterslive.com/ so probably not much chance if there's lots of freebies on the go

I'm winning. No, wait, I'm reading it wrong.

Still 76. At least the slide is arrested. Now to turn things around (again).

Saturday I ate a generous portion of roast parsnips/onions and the scales were up 2kg the next morning. They’ve stayed there for Monday despite me doing 9 miles over the Sugar Loaf yesterday with a buggered ankle. I am now well over my start weight FFS.

what scales are you using to weigh yourself, and are they in the same place every time? Same clothes? Same time of day?

I weigh myself every day (despite people saying its bad for morale, what with daily fluctutations, but it suits me so whatever) but I make sure that I use the same scales, in the same position on the bathroom floor, at give or take the same time of day, wearing give or take the same clothes (vest and pants!).

All consistent / scales, clothing, time, location .

I am assuming it’s fluid as I have gained a good couple of inches at the waist, am struggling to fit into my clothes, and I can see it in my face. Well I hope it’s fluid!

Am I correct in thinking you’re on Keto (from the Keto thread)? If so it’ll be fluid from the carb loading with the parsnips. A friend of mine is doing Keto and cheats every so often and in doing so will gain an almost consistent 4kg over a weekend. He gets himself back into Ketosis and within a week he’s back where he was. It’s why my goal with the Keto diet is to aim about 3kg lower than where I want to be!

Finally half a kilo down from where I started this quarter!

Really disappointed that I did 5kg last quarter but have stuck like glue to 80kg for weeks.

Now down to 79.5kg. It's not much, but it feels like a small victory to me.

Yes I am keto - given previous reactions to lapses, I would expect 1.5kg rebound gain given what I had eaten. The only thing I can think of is that the rest was muscle inflammation. I went hill walking with a bunch of cross-fit bunnies, having not done any walking since June and with painful scar tissue on my Achilles. I've been a bit stiff since!

As expected after a trip away my weight has gone up from 71.5 kg to 72.4 yikes

The freebies at the event really didn't help (think salted caramel ice cream, chip shop curry flavoured crisps and you'll get the idea) and neither did the lack of exercise. I'm home now until the New Year so time to up the ante and see if I can get down to at least 70 kg by the end of this quarter.

As you can see I've already accepted I'm not going to hit my target and will be back for Q1 next year laugh

Think I'll be joining you guys in the new year. Two years of being bed bound on and off have taken its toll on the waist line.

Been away for a week, eaten (and drunk) like a pig = +2kg's to 125kg's.....

Far from Ideal!

I'm now hitting the gym hard but a number of work events which involve the prostitution of my liver will not help! - plan is to go dry for a month or 2 from January however....
