I hear ya on the alcohol thing as that was my big downfall last week. Normally I don't drink Sunday to Thursday but last week it was almost every night. I slept badly (although hotel rooms have to take some of the blame for that) and I put on weight so I'm back to abstaining in the week and moderate treats at the weekend.
Oh and back to the gym tonight

Well behaved week from me meaning on Saturday evening I was a kilo down for the week. saturday evening I had a sausage sandwich for dinner. And on Sunday evening I was exacltly back to where I started the week.
So thats a week with no alcohol, sweets, crisps, snacks or anything "bad" except sausages in a sandwich on saturday night and theres been no shift in weight.

I weigh in every morning after the usual first call to the bathroom. Weighing in everyday probably seems overkill to a lot, but the fluctuations on a day to day basis give you an idea that one minute the body is up the next is down, you could have just been unlucky! Its best to get into a daily regime, don't get disheatened by one weigh in! Keep at it, I certainly had a sausage last week!So thats a week with no alcohol, sweets, crisps, snacks or anything "bad" except sausages in a sandwich on saturday night and theres been no shift in weight.

I weigh daily too, at a specific time and like you just after an....."evacuation". I expect to be down a bit tonight again, and aiming for at least 1.5 down from last nights weight by friday nights weigh in.FredAstaire said:

I think you either have to do it every day, or leave it to every couple of weeks. Anything in the middle is subject to those fluctuations and can get you down unnecessarily. It's the trend you want, not the absolutely number, even though we're all setting targets.
Definitely, its so easy to get disheartened by one odd measurement, also when you do it daily, I just find if you are sticking to your plan, you can spot the anamoly reading, and think nothing of it.I am working away 3 nights this week though, this will be a real test to keep up the momentum. Maybe some Insanity sessions in the hotel room!!
Another late-comer but I’ll join for a bit of motivation!
Started mid September at 5’10” and 101kg and just weighed in at 93.9kg this morning (post poo) - so 7.1kg in 26 days so far. Been doing the Keto diet and while I was extremely cynical at first I’m now a complete convert.
Tracking with MFP my calories have been consistently between 1500 and 2000 a day, mainly from fat as per the diet. I’m almost never hungry and find it ridiculously easy as the weight is just falling off.
I don’t really care what the science is behind it and whether it’s a load of rubbish or not. For me this diet is easy to stick to, never leaves me hungry, I can still drink wine and eat chocolate and has still shifted over a stone in a month. Admittedly I’m usually only hitting four of my ‘five a day’ so this is something I need to address - difficult with no fruit!
Target is now a slightly more sensible 1kg per week until Christmas to see me at 85kg. Then I’ll adjust it with a bit more protein and carbs to target 78kg by May.

Really struggling to go below 80kg.
I've added weights to my gym routine now (previously was 45 mins cardio, no weights) so I look better as the top half is wider IYSWIM and it probably accounts for the fact I haven't lost any weight (I hope).
I seem to be slowly dropping waist size, which is good and my wife tells me I look trimmer.
But weight stuck at 80kg and I'm sneaking back to having some chocolate or a biscuit with tea after lunch and supper which I need to cut out again. Also - bread & crisps - need to have healthier lunches. Really struggle with lunches as I work from home and a sandwich and crisps is the easy option.

Am in.
Currently at 101kg but still in my 34" Jeans, my problem is the dad belly. Would really like to get down to 89 as I've achieved that before.
Not planning on changing my beer intake (social routine) but have sacrificed my love of crisps to one pack a day, and switched to brown rolls. Am attending circuits once a week (for now as I build up some fitness). Also have some 2kg dumbells for conference calls and a 16kg Kettlebell that I bought yesterday to use too.
