Slightly rushed workout yesterday.

Front squats: 4 x 6 @ 90, 85, 85,80kg
Deadlifts: 3 x 8 @ 130,120,120kg

Pendlay row: 2 x 8 @ 80kg
Band press ups: 3 x 12

Back is fried today because I’m not used to barbell deads!

Push>

Dips: +80kg x 11 (drop to 60, 40, 20, BW)
Cable Fly: 3x F
Cable side delt: 3x F
DB Side delt: 3x F
Rear delt: 6x F
Front Delt: 3 x F

Going to back off a bit this week- Pressing strength has dropped off heaps (#1 tell tale sign I need to back off), got some niggles appearing too. Will stick with blood flow and reppier stuff, back off the heavy things until next week.

Dips, bench & strict (or incline) are my main ones. (I also like CG floor press on the smith- but tend not to use that as a main one)

Bit of a stty morning yesterday morning.

Squats - These felt good despite my legs being a bit warn out from the run Saturday morning
3 - 95kg
3 - 110kg
5 - 122.5kg

Deadlifts
Should have been 5 x 10 at 132.5kg but ended up being 2 reps only. I think the stupid touch n go ego reps i did Thursday night killed my lower back a bit, been years since i last did touch n goes, technique ended up being ste and i've paid the price a bit. This week coming is a deload week so going to start to slowly transition to a more wide stance for the deadlift, not toes under the plates stance but wide than a conventional deadlift.

Insanely strong dipping!
I think dips make a huge difference to pressing power, I'm just crap at them currently.

Tonight https://www.instagram.com/p/BnjrxrdhtM1/?utm_sourc...
230kg 3x8 deadlifts, 3rd set recorded. Moving easier now I'm getting back into it.

Need to do more recovery work though, never feel fresh at the moment, any suggestions apart from spending time stretching? (which I've neglected)

3x8 120kg bench. Big PB physically and mentally. Not sure how well it'll go when it's grinding reps....

Well done, mate.

Small question - why do you stay so far from lockout on those reps?

Always have, 3/4 ROM to keep tension on the chest during easier reps. As I slow down I'll start to lock out of each rep, same when it gets heavier as well.

It'll be that way for a while most likely, I didn't think I'd suffer so hard mentally but as soon as any twinge or strain occurs I feel panicky. I'm just pushing through though and hoping for the best!
