If you fancy, you can run my programing? No problem to draw one up, it's not easy, but it's effective- I've a few people running them now, though they're all tailored to the individual. (for free if you're interested)

The offer's there if you want it anyway!

Thank you - that's a very kind offer! I'll ponder and get back to you smile

The idea with the 137.5 attempt was to do a competition style with the spotter giving a press command at the bottom, hence the pause but I think if I had kept it on the right path, I might have gotten it. The 132.5 attempt was a touch and go, light tap on the chest and then push back up.
Ah, makes sense- looks like the pause got you, took you slightly off line on the press, and that went further off when you hit sticking point. Pretty sure it'd have gone T&G, so good effort!

My coach writes my program up, at a bit of an expense but the price also covers one to ones and coaching and support for any lifting meets smile.

After 2 months of working at lighter weights and trying to sort out my technique with my coach, managed a 200kg single. Very happy, no stronger than I was 2 months ago but much, much happier with my technique, especially on deadlifts, now to work on adding lots more strength from next week.

Looks much better!

115kg 3x8 push press PB but wasn't the best, I think fatigue from interrupted sleep is starting to take affect
90lb/41kg 3x8 incline dumbbell post surgery PB, these felt great but pushing it up slowly each week.

Couldn't do my circuit tonight because some lil girl was hogging the O platform.
So did a standby KB circuit
25, 21, 18, 15, 12, 9 reps of double thrusters, swings and snatches.
took me 24 mins, fooked. biggrin

Good lift!

For me today, pull>

Deadlift: 220kg x 7
Wide Pull ups: +40kg x 5, +20kg x 14, BWx 20
High cable rows: 3x F
low cable rows: 3x F
EZ preacher: RPF
reverse grip EZ preacher: RPF

Not deadlifted since June, glute still hurts, but not a bad start.

Meh. 10 was the plan. Two issues- 1) it ficking hurt & 2) my straps were slipping.

I was using figure 8 straps too (for the first time), but they slipped down. Figured out after that if I twist them they're much tighter. Bit disappointed in them TBH though. But, it was getting too sore anyway

Use a halter top, or go a size larger

I had to look up figure 8 straps. Never used them, I have two sets of traditional straps, solid ones, but I rarely use them as they're too faffy for quick pace circuits, and I haven't gone for maximal strength for years. I use my powergrabs (over ten years old) for stuff where my grip goes.
you're rows are so heavy, how do they compare to deads? We're similar on deads but I attempted a 'soft' go at a row a week or so ago (I normally do pendlays) and I thought 110 was heavy! though it was after or apart of a normal day for me.I haven't done that sort of row for years.

I've only recently started doing Pendlays.

Nice movement, I really like it.

If my glute didn't hurt, I rekon I could have got another 4-5 reps on the deads. It's literally a pain in the ass. I can rown more than I can deadlift now for sure!.

Training is still going really well since I went back to a heavily modified 5/3/1 approach - one very hard set after two moderate sets of 5.

I got weaker doing months of a higher volume RPE-based programme so am a good example of how differently we all respond. The RPE based programme was perfect in theory but awful for me.

Last night:

Landmine press: 55kg x 10 (PR)
Kettlebell OHP: 24kg x 12 (PR)

Deadlift EMOM singles: 10 @ 145kg

100 face pulls; some pallof presses; some curls.

Another thing: I’ve been doing low rep deadlifts for a few weeks (1,2 and 3 reps) to allow a lower back twinge to calm down. Only higher reps seeem to ever bother it. I think it’s helping my form and confidence to have so many sets and so lots of set up. The last few pulls at 145kg were super easy (it’s 82.5% of 1RM).

Rushed today so missed some of my session.
Did manage to get in my axle clean and press session though.
Based on today's session I think elbow sleeves may be hindering my performance. I always seem to do worse with them on strangely.

Last set of 120kg PB https://www.instagram.com/p/BqkdreAA7rc/?utm_sourc...
I can knock a few secs off by just being quicker and less lazy haha. Also mistimed first rep and didn't align feet with bar on one of them.
Aim is to be doing it this quick at 140 by May in time for England's.
This year it was that axle 140 for reps and I think 5/6 reps won which I'd like to make a breeze if its same event this year.
