Cardio but a good 6km run this morning - off to the Pyrenees early tomorrow for some mountaineering stuff for a week.

Will try and keep the bodyweight stuff up if it doesn't conflict with the climbing etc,...

Weighted dips, I'd suggest.
That's a great tip - that has certainly been a neglected exercise in recent times!

It’s been demonised because it really chews up some people shoulders. But the key word there is ‘some’. Most people can do dips just fine, as far as I know.

Probably people who flare their elbows way out to the sides rather than keeping them tucked in.

That reads to me as if you're saying that is the incorrect way of performing dips.

Elbow flare - chest
Elbows tucked - triceps

If you said "excessive elbow flare", I'd be inclined to agree.

Excessively, definitely. I can always feel the point where my elbows have come out a bit too much as my RC starts pinging, but like you say elbows touching sides and it's mostly triceps.

I also think it's from people loading up the weight and going way too deep.

Although there are more people doing half reps in my gym than anything else. Same with pull ups.

Just use a sensible range of motion that's comfy and doesn't hurt your joints- same with most lifting in the gym tbh.

I can dip really deep if I want, but with weight added, it is far from comfortable, so I keep it in a range where I don't injure myself.

I thought that this was quite a good/vacuous waste of nine minutes - young lad who goes through two training transformations.

His dedication is outstanding. And he has the same terrible taste in pants as Didely biggrin

A dirty bulk to 275, people thought I was just a fat slob. Yes, they were correct.

Did I accidentally skip the bit where he details his stack and approach to cycling? I cannot take these ‘transformation’ guys seriously because they obscure a major component of their training.

He's a teenager. Who decided that he didn't want to stay a scrawny kid, worked hard to change that, got sick, then started over again with even greater success.

He's not a textbook; can't you just be pleased for him and his effort?

Not really. You’re a fking moron taking drugs as a teen.

I can tell you I’m over twice his age and I look better and am stronger. Zero respect to a teen doing that.

Get a decent base and be old enough to drink before you take gear.

Pull B today.
DD, do you try and move forward on every exercise, or just aim for the big movers?
