Does anyone on PH own a gym?
I'm looking for a cool location to do a photoshoot and struggling to find anything.
Is your own gym open 24hrs? if not, maybe just ask them for after hours access?I'm looking for a cool location to do a photoshoot and struggling to find anything.
I've seen proper shoots going on during a gym's open hours too! Or is your material more... specialist?

It's just very dark and very 'colourful' and I want something a bit less dark and colourful!! Also something a bit emptier with some bare walls we can shoot against. Mine has stuff everywhere and might seem messy in photos.
I'm going to speak to these guys https://www.kingsgyms.com but wondered if there was a PH'er who had a gym and would allow us use in return for photos. There's no commercial value for us shooting, its more of a portfolio exercise.
MC. Needing your cycling expertise please. Peloton bikes. My wife wants one because her boss has one. She doesn’t cycle. She likes keeping fit and likes the idea of a good exercise bike with a screen which can connect to WiFi and look up YouTube cycle videos/programmes etc. Surely there is something out there which doesn’t involve 2k and a subscription. Can't say I've heard of them, but you can buy a cheapish turbo trainer and an equally cheapish road bike for a lot less, and then you can hook up to Zwift via your iPad or laptop/pc. (Zwift is a virtual reality training program - you have to subscribe but it's not very much). All this can be done for much less than £2k Burwood said:

Take it from someone who knows. Peloton hype is currently driven by marketing + celebrity endorsements. The reason you are hearing so much about it right now is the $500m in Venture funding they got late last year. They also have an IPO planned for later in 2019. It has suddenly exploded out of nowhere which isn't necessarily a good thing. I did some research on Peloton when I first started hearing about them. This is a really good write up by someone using the app but not the bike.

The subscription is for the classes within the app. But as it's just an app you can use it on any bike as it's on your phone. The lady in the review above has it hooked up to a large tv.
Of course, if you want the full experience, the bike, the screen, the app etc... get the Peloton but if you want the classes and need to achieve it on a budget that IS possible. A cheaper Peloton competitor is Echelon. Not done too much research but they're usually the main one people compare with. If she wants a more rounded training app that isn't just bike there's always Les Mills.

Went and had an 'easy' workout today, ie no volume training 2x5 reps at 180kg for deadlifts which was first time in a good few weeks or months, pretty crap for me but I will work back up, 2x5 bent rows 160kg not pretty, lot if upper body movement but they used to pack on mass. Close grip pull downs, 2x8 stack, supported bent rows, full stack, 2x5
Gonna train 'normal' for big lifts and volume training for smaller bodybuilding movements
