New baby was born on Thursday. Wonderful!
But I am functioning on almost zero sleep. DOMs from walking in the garden!
Still managed a quick workout yesterday.
Squat: 5 x 110, 120, 110kg
Landmine press: 5 x 55kg (massively down on this one - can normally do 57.5 x 8)
DB rows: 3 x 8 @40kg
Pull ups: 3 x 10 @ BW; 5 @ 12kg; 3 @20kg
All within myself but still tough given the lack of sleep.
Congratulations! Life will never be the same again At least, not for the next 20 years or so.. But I am functioning on almost zero sleep. DOMs from walking in the garden!

Well done Chris. Superb number on the bench!
I had my first ever weightlifting and powerlifting competition yesterday.
Weightlifting managed a 75kg snatch and a 102.5kg clean and jerk. Which got me first place!
Powerlifting managed 160kg squat, 85kg bench and a 185kg deadlift. Which was enough for a silver medal!
It was scored using body weight. I weighed in at 75kg.
Was a really enjoyable and nerve wracking day!

Looks very comprehensive. A good test of overall fitness and strength! I wonder what a relative strength asssesment is? I’d like to have a go at it myself! I got this in an email for the bodyexpo thing, what do you think of it?

Did an hour's walking to and from a local outdoor gym on Sunday morning whilst my fiancee was doing a yoga class.
50 pullups, 4 sets leg raises, some inverted rows, some hip mobility work and pulled something in my neck (sternocleidomastoid, I think) doing flags. 2 days later I still can't turn my head very well!

Had a weekend off as my gym was shut, moved to a bigger unit with more toys to play with
Opened this morning, so had my first session, it's a real motivation boost training in a new gym!
Incline Bench - 3x12 - 75kg
Pec Dec - 3x14 - 59kg
Dumbbell Bench Press - 2x12 - 27.5kg's
Incline Dumbbell Fly - 2x12 - 22.5kg
Overhead Tricep Press - 3x12 - 50kg
Skull Crusher - 2x12 - 15kg
Tricep Rope Pushdown - 3x12 - 50kg
Diet has been great, and am starting to notice a real difference in my body over the past two months, feeling good.

Well don’t Jamie. It’s always intrigued me how ‘people’ vary so widely. You can squat nearly twice your bench. Albeit injury I’ve always been about the same. I used to do the clean and jerk but I just can’t flex into the front squat. Not even close. It’s a power clean for me.
Thanks. My figures are quite a way apart. My squat is above average and my bench is probably a bit below average. I never ever do bench press, all my 'bench' training comes from push ups etc at Crossfit. I love olympic lifting, for me its so much more enjoyable than powerlifting. My powerlifts have gone up because of my Olympic lifts if that makes sense.

Squat and deadlift certainly will. It must feel easy to be able to move the weight slowly on those, rather than explode it up on the weightlifting. Bench won’t benefit much, if at all, though.I love olympic lifting, for me its so much more enjoyable than powerlifting. My powerlifts have gone up because of my Olympic lifts if that makes sense.
If you never train bench, you’ve probably got lots more to give just by improving technique. I’m amazed how much more I can lift when I practice a lift more often and so am ‘in the groove’. I put 10kg on my bench press in a month just by doing it twice per week (once light and once heavy). For me, chest and triceps can be trained very frequently compared to lower back, hips and legs

That's a good point! I will try to bench once a week, hopefully I'll see some progress. I'm in the Reading/Newbury area is anyone ever wants to train... Bench: 140kg x 13 (3 Rest pause)
Incline Fly: 3 sets F 22.5kg DB's
Strict press: 2 sets F 80kg, 60kg
DB delts: side and rear
OH EZ tri ext: 70kg x 8
Tri push downs: dig drop set
Done. Heavy bench feels bad- went up to 160kg, but it just felt ....heavy.... but 140kg feels great to rep, so will add to this each time. Also finally found a way to do DB flys that really hits the chest to, previously delts seemed to take over, but focus really hit the chest today, pleased with that. Other stuff was so so, but I was ill Sunday/Monday, so didn't expect too much. Seem to have leaned out from being ill too.

Today was the first time I ever contemplated not going down to the garage due to the intense cold. But I just had to, always feel better afterwards, and would have been miserable for the rest of the day for not doing it. So, with two pair of socks and jogging bottoms on, and four layers of upper attire, I went down into the igloo..
Leg Press - 5x12-5 reps
Superset - Bench Press - 4x12-5 reps - Wide Grip Pull Ups - 4x12-9 reps
Power Clean - 8x2-1 rep
High Pull - 4x10-5 reps
BB BOR (Reverse Grip) - 4x12-8 reps
Seated Pulley Row (Neutral Grip) 0 4x12-9 reps

Yep, the feeling not to go and ‘do it’ pales in comparison to the guilt of actually not going. DD I’d in Scotland I recall. Must be as cold as the end of an Eskimos tool up there. Leg Press - 5x12-5 reps

Peak temperature today was -2C, not seen it this cold, in day time, for an age. Takes a bit of will power to get going, but it’s ok once you get the juices flowing didelydoo said:

Squats: 3 x 5 @ 115kg
Romanian deadlifts: 3 x 10 @ 85kg
FB bench: 87.5kg x 8,6,5
Close grip FB bench: 60kg x 14
Landmine rows (2 hands): 75kg x 12
Lots of face pulls (15-25 reps with bands)
Rebuilding my squat since it went to st for no obvious reason. Once I get to 3 x 5 @ 125kg, I will switch back to one hard set of 6-8 reps or so.
