That's a huge jump!

To think I was happy with 70kg for 4 yesterday...
When I saw it in my program I did question it with my coach laugh
His response was don't be st you've got this.

My strict press has been very poor up until now though, when I hit a 165kg x2 overhead my strict was about 110-115kg at the time!

70kg x4 is strong though!

I don't think there's a set of prescribed rotations - everyone does it differently.

Plus, I was asking about whether or not he's using false grip, and what he's doing with his thumbs, which is a different question smile
Fair point!

Silly question but are you doing pull-ups or chins? I'd really have to see what you're doing to make any real comment.

Maybe stick up a video of you doing a few reps?

Edit: how are you gripping the rings? False grip? Thumb over? Thumb under?
Thanks again for taking the time to reply. I'm using a neutral grip to grip the rings. I start with pronated and rotate my wrists to finish in a supinated position as I find this the most comfortable.

When I first started pressing I was aiming for bodyweight, which was c.85kg. Now that I'm finally getting closer to 85kg I weigh loads more!

Loverly swim last night, huge swell making for a proper roller coaster ride, then 145 pull ups off my bar at home, going to gym soon to do shoulders, then back in the water for a sunset swim.

Walked around 6 miles this morning (as WFH, decided to use commuting time to do walking)

Will do around 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups.

Also using some free weights.

Now need some advice of what else I can do. Running is not going to happen I am afraid.

I quite fancy having a 6-pack as I have never had one, and I might buy a Porsche as I have never had one of them either. And it might help me get a Woman lighter than Me, I have moved to a new area and "lighter than me" (80Kg) might be more difficult here...

Out of curiosity what were your pullup sets? I've just done 103 - started off with a 15 and finished with a 4!

They were done as 14 sets of 10, first set was 5 as a warm up, however I took plenty of rest between sets, also my weight has dropped enough to make pull ups a lot easier.

I might try a diet. biggrin

I remember 20s were possible when I was 1/2 a stone lighter. Strawberries and cream have been my downfall.

Went back to the park today for more muscle ups armed with the band I used last week, and two lighter ones.

The band I used last week felt very easy, stepped down to the lighter one and could still do reps, stepped down again and could still get it.

Tried without a band and cracked it. Big achievement for me. I think I've had the strength for a while but no where to try in my gym. I will keep going at them and get them stricter over the summer.

Feel good though!

4 mile run this morning, then jumped on scales, so first thing weigh after sweating buckets but they say 121kg compared to 124kg last week. Maybe a 'false' weight but likely means a couple of pounds off. Might get under 19st before back to work, who knows.

Well done! That’s quite and achievement.

I did legs- my kettle bell is now 73kg, and I can swing it one handed for reps- was pretty chuffed with that!

That is the manliest kettlebell I have ever seen. Fair play. I find one handed swings with a 24kg bell awkward. I dread to think what they would feel like with that much weight!

25 minutes in the sea, very very rough, then a really good chest session at the gym, followed by 40 minutes of intervals on Zwift.
