1hr windy bike ride, then straight into the sea for a swim, full body workout after a bite to eat.

Fantastic effort man! Deadlift is likely only lift i would like to train up to a decent standard again. I think people forget what a great indicator of usable functional strength it is, I heard Lawrence Shahlaie talking about it in the commentary to a deadlift show the other day, his point being anyone that lifts over 200k regularly will be amongst the stronger lifters in a gym. I think we forget that. (I'm aways away from 200k just now but see no reason why I can't go back to say 250k given time and inclination!)

Hard race on Zwift very pleased with how the legs felt, then a early evening swim, sea temp down to around 14c so starting to feel chilly.

It definitely is easy to forget that!
I do know it though.
4 plate deadlift is usually the biggest you'll see in a gym from someone who doesn't train specifically for strength.
There's 1 guy in my old gym who's just hit 300kg but after that I think 220kg is the biggest going.

I still feel weak until I've hit 400kg then I'm happy to say I'm strong laugh

"Add 5"
Starting at 35kg and adding 5kg each round. Rest only as necessary.
Overhead press 2 reps
Push press 2 reps
Push jerk 2 reps
Once you fail at a movement drop it from the circuit. I made it to 65kg for strict press, 75kg for push press and jerk.

Dumbbell lat raise 3x15
Dips 5x8-15
Cable pushdown 3x10-15

Interval running 7x800m. Aiming to reduce interval times (currently 4:30-4:50 per 800m run). Rest period is 2 mins walking between intervals.

There's not a lot of people in Scotland capable of those numbers!

400 deadlift is insane. There is a you tube video of Oli Thompson, one time wsm strongman, tearing his bicep tendon pulling 400.

300 was always my goal, and not many folk were pulling that. Now there is at least two people on here pulling 300 or more and I know half a dozen guys who pull over 300 regularly. Strength is exploding all across the country, exciting times. (I never got my 300 damn and blast!!)
