Another 52km on the bike. 30km/h+ winds made it tough going.

Average 26km/h. A few PRs and a 9th overall (on a segment I had to stop twice, as there were kids getting in front of me)

Rest day tomorrow

Wondering about this right now. for my height/weight i'm still very much in the novice area. I've casually lifted for afew years. i haven't lifted consistent 3x a week for any extended period. there hve been times when i haven't even gone gym for 6 months.

i wonder at what point would someone not be considered part of the whole 'n00b gains'
Noon gains last for years if you don’t train hard enough to run out of them!
You’ll know you’re done with noob gains when you can train fairly hard 3-4 times per week and see zero progress.
0 progress interms of physique? or numbers?

At maintenance calories? Both. I think it’s hard not to get stronger if you’re training reasonably hard and eating to gain.

Yesterday pretty tough bike ride in really windy conditions, like swimming is proper tough due to the plunging sea temp, decent back workout at the gym too, mainly seated rows (plate loaded) strength has exploded on this exercise, today was a race on Zwift 20hrs into a fast, felt amazing will try and do this once a week now, then 15 minutes of swimming in the bay.

Anyone on here train with slam balls/d balls? I've got a light one (5kg) that I use for conditioning and pissing off the neighbours. I was thinking about getting a heavy one for strength and power but not sure what size to get. I'm thinking either 20, 25 or 30kg. I'm crap at making decisions!

Unfortunately picked up a back injury.
It's been on going a while but about 3/4 weeks back it went fully.
Trying to get seen is a nightmare, GP tried fobbing me off even though an out of hours GP wrote a letter stressing I needed a scan banghead
I have a phone call appointment in a few days to discuss what's happening next, hopefully they can get me a scan.
I've been rehabbing with peptides to try push recovery quicker which has meant pulling out of the England qualifiers and dropping weights back.

Strangely, I can squat and overhead press pain free but deadlifts over 160-180kg seem to be a no go.

Tonight I hit an all time squat PB of 270kg and paused!

Zero pain but won't be pushing it any heavier now, back to high rep stuff.

Been checking in and glad too see everyone is doing well, DDs kettlebell flips are just another level!
Swinging 48kg is hard enough but one handed with a flip is just mental.

Used to train at a wee privately owned gym when I delivered courses up there, Bodyworx I think it was called, decent enough gym, owned by a friend of a friend, always let me train free which was decent . I delivered my courses in The Butcher's Arms and the Brig o Dee pubs, loved Aberdeen, used to have a few doors up there in the dim and distant past.

Thanks!
The only silver lining to injuries is I focus on points that need addressing within my limits pain free.

Last time I did strict log it was 120kg with a 152kg push so I'm hoping to hit 160kg push soon as long as nothing major is wrong with my back.

Commuted to and from work the last couple of days, slow and steady.

Today I took the Factor for the first time and went pretty hard. Averaged 29.5km/h through the middle of Budapest for 14km to and from the office. Even landed a 2w FTP increase.

Happy with that!
