I don't know if DSharp frequents here anymore but just seen on his Facebook he hit 300kg single ply bench @120kg yikes
I believe he's a few KG short off the British record now!

I have actual flu and haven't done a thing for 2 weeks. I feel like a failure at life.

Nice quick session today, in and out in less than an hour..

Squats - 5x12-5 reps
BB Clean and Press - 5x5-4 reps
Superset - Bench Press - 5x12-3 reps/Wide Grip Pull Ups - 5x12-8 reps
T-Bar Rows - 4x12-8 reps
Seated Pulley Row - 4x12-10 reps

I realised I haven't had a full week off from training this year, so looking forward to having a full week off next week!

Yeah I follow him on insta the bloke an animal!.....my training is going well two failed attempts at a 160 bench but only just so I’m confident of something good soon threw in some pretty brutal sessions on the bike too weight holding at 82 kg just fairly ripped though.

He is certainly king of the bench.

st session today.

Squats still building up with 6s at 160kg. Easy but my squatting was all over the place.

DLs was supposed to be easy 210kg for 5s - and by easy I mean my 5rm is probably around 250kg, so should have been comfy. Picked up my first rep of 210kg and it felt like 260kg! So I put it down, sulked and went home. haha.

Not sure what caused this tbh, shoiuld have been fresh. My back was twinging a little bit and I think I just couldn't exert the force I wanted to, as my body just wouldnt let me. I'm builfig up in 10kg increments each week atm and 200kg last week was easy peasy as expected.

He came to my gym on the day we opened to check the place out and was repping at 280kg I think. Nuts.

Decrease the increments.
I'm doing the same at the moment, but I am capping myself at arbitrary points. All lifts at 2.5 but DLs at 10, until a fornight gets tough, and then I'll drop the increments.

It's not fatigue from training though. And it's not like it should have been tough. I honestly expect it to fly off the floor on Wednesday when I deadlift again. Just nothing was working for me today.

Have been focusing on aerobic training recently, but starting to transition to some higher rate. This was 8000m at rate 20 with 30 strokes at race pace every 1500m, except the last where I kept it going for 1000m-ish to get my average split below 1:50.

Hi all

Thanks for the kind words. Still loitering here biggrin

Just missed 310 which would have at the time been the All Time UK record - any fed and any class. My friend Steve then smashed the record up to 340. He's a beast.

Think my 300 it's the 5th biggest single ply bench in all time list for uk, and 7kg behind highest tested lifter bench. Been a hard road but now moving in to the next goal biggrin

Also helped by your salts Ben (Big Bens nose napalm). Which certainly wakes you up before a lift!!!

Yes will be staying tested and seeing how far I can go.

The salts are ridiculous at first - a couple of people borrowed them and didn't take the advice that they were quite strong... haha

Week off...... Boo

probably go in Friday, try some things out. Start back properly next week.

I don't know what to do.... Get bigger or get leaner? I was going to enter a powerlifting comp next year, but there's no spaces left on it....maybe i'll get back in to strong man? or just go full bodybuilding?

Fek knows.....
