208lb starting weight. Target for this year is below 160. I’ll decide on final target when I start getting close as it’ll be down to how things look really.

If I aim for an average of 1.5 lb per week, then I would like to get below 188lb this quarter. My lowest weight was 197lb in late November so this should be more than achievable.

I’m back doing keto and running.

I've set my MFP to aim for 1kg a week, so about 2lbs. This equates to a stingy but not awful calorie intake as long as I eat healthy food, but as soon as I hit any junk, it's going to be gobbled up in a jiffy, so I will have to keep an eye on the quality as well as the quantity.

I've eaten far more meat in the last two weeks than I normally do, sausages wrapped in bacon, pies and steaks and the like at meals out and so on, so am feeling pretty stodgy and bloated, hence the grapes and clementines sitting on my desk.

Sustainable change is the key, but I also like to see results, so I'm going to be super strict for the next few weeks, keeping topped up with fruit and veg to get things moving both literally and metaphorically, and then as I get back to my running, add back in the more calorific bits like toast and butter etc.

In the mean time, I'm also doing a 60/3 challenge - 60 press ups and 3 mins of plank a day, any day skipped is 20p to charity. Not been good over Christmas, so the charity is up there, but back on it now, so I'll be benefiting in January. It means a little something every day, which is good for the soul.

From the figures mentioned so far, I am JACKO's exact body double
On New Year's Eve I was 15st 9lb. I want to reach 14st just in time to stuff my face with easter eggs.

Currently losing a few calories by trying to stop the my fitness pal App not recognising that most exotic of foods "potato"

I’m in again for this quarter! Dropped 16kg from September to December (101kg to 85.1kg) but have a good 10kg to go before I hit my final target - 75kg and (I reckon) about 15% body fat.

So, I’ll shoot for 79.9kg by the end of the quarter. Starting weight is 85kg. smile

Edit: Would it be possible to state the type of diet as well? E.g. Ketogenic, Atkins, low-fat, weight watchers etc... Might be interesting to see which method has the best results and which people find easiest to stick to. For the record I’ve been doing Keto since September and genuinely can’t see me going back to a ‘normal’ high carb diet.

I am knocking the crisps and sweets into touch - thinking about it, I eat them out of habit as much as anything.

I find 1500 kcals doable if not extravagant. Using a mixture of lean mince, quorn and lots of crunchy veg, and plenty of spice I have measured out a good sized portion with 75g of brown rice - about 600 calories the lot.

Disappointing news is 14 st and 5 lbs.

fking hell.

New scales arrived this afternoon as the originals were broken, I'll put up my weight in the morning; I find weighing myself first thing is the most convenient time of day and it'll always be consistant as opposed to weighing myself at "some point in the evening".

I have a feeling I'll be in for a shock!

It's also conveniently the time of day when you are lightest wink
I did the full on Dukan about 5 years ago, and found if I weighed myself in the morning after a pee, I weighed 2lbs less than I did just before I went to bed.
Sleeping is good for weight loss!

Oh I know that, however it is just easier to weigh myself first thing as I'm always up at the same and I do it out of habit just before I get in the shower, whereas before bed I've got to get undressed and wander to the bathroom, or get undressed in the bathroom as I'm sure both my daughter and her boyfriend wouldn't want to see me starkers wandering across the landing, plus I can't be arsed as when I go up to bed I just want to get into bed ASAP.

I'm in for this.

Weighed myself on New Years Day, 13 stone 3 lbs (83.9kg). Target weight for this quarter is 11 stone 7 lbs (73.0kg). Thats back to the weight I was 18 months ago when I first moved abroad for work. - cheap beer and unhealthy food has taken its toll.

That's quite quick weight loss, but still fractionally under 2 lbs a week.

I'm trying the weight watchers app, as it has helped kick start a change before. usually just reminding me quite unhealthy some things are (tube of pringles...) Also, they now let you eat as much as you want of some zero point foods, such as most fruit/veg, beans/pulses and plain grilled chicken breast.

Good luck everyone!

Joining this for the first time this year. Currently 6ft1 and weighing in at 21st. Looking to get from 21st to at least 18st.

Got MFP downloaded and determined to get at least 30 minutes of walking or cycling per day.

Hoping doing this will help with migraines that were becoming more frequent and start to feel more energy for keeping up with my 3yo son.

Good luck to everyone with their goals.

In answer to the post above asking about plans being followed - I am a Slimming World member

Wife lost 3 stone, my sister has lost 5 and I have lost just over 2.5 since joining at the end of August

The wife bought a franchise and runs the group that I attend so it has become a way of life for us biggrin

Not wrong there; 103.8kg, the heaviest I've been before that was this time last year at 102kg.

My diet is generally good and I am quite active, however Christmas does tend to throw both of those a bit, my weakness is booze and I know I've been drinking far too much recently; more this year than last year.

Last year I did dry January and got down to 97kg by February (5kg loss in a month), I'm doing dry January again and would like to see it through till April.

So with the above in mind, I would like to see 90kg by April 1st; no pressure!

Dusting off MFP too.

Pound and a half down to 15.8.

Did well during the day yesterday abut was eating up crap last night and had a properly dirty meal, over chips with a can of Sainsburys Spag Bol on top, magnificent, no booze though. Difficult as loads of crap food round, missus and kids still off, its cold and wet and I am hungry.

Gym tonight.

Interesting read this and i am genuinely surprised at how much weight some people gain here.I am 5ft 11 and 75kg and get through about 2500/3000 calories each day which results in little or no weight fluctuation for me.How many calories each day are some of you getting through 4000+ ?

Good luck to all.

How much do you burn though? Its a plus and minus calculation. If you burn 3000 then of course you dont put any one. If you burned 2000 then you would.
