OK... Hoped to do a mid week update, but didn't manage it. Will try harder this week.

I think I've updated the table and graph for everyone whos posted. Good to see a few back who didn't post a weight last week.

(Jamie Dodger and J4cko, did you post starting/target weights etc previosuly? If so, I've missed it but can add you to the table next update).

PS. This update incldues last weeks results only, so those who've posted today will not be shown yet.

Let me know if I've missed you!

Having had a few nights out in Glasgow I want to know how you only put a pound on

Slow progress, but I’ve had cold last fortnight so not done any running. Had the odd XL donner too so not a bad effort

06/02/18 86.4kg

Slight gain this week which is frustrating. Aiming for better next week.
Could I set a target weight of 80kg please? Not sure how realistic this is, but it is something to aim for. Thank you.

My steady (but enormously regular drop has slowed slightly...but still regularly

02/01/2018 14st 5lbs 91.17 kg
09/01/2018 14st 2lbs 89.81 kg
16/01/2018 14st 0lbs 88.90 kg
23/01/2018 13st 12lbs 88.00 kg
30/01/2018 13st 10.5lbs 87.32 kg
06/02/2018 13st 9lbs 86.64 kg

So that's my first 10 lbs gone. Trundling along compared to others, but still going.

I am 90 seconds a mile quicker than I was at the start of January.

Off to London this weekend and y'all can kiss my arse if you think I am being good biggrin

Well pleased with myself so far this week. Early nights and no end-of-day snack that combats the hunger due to eating as a family with a 3 y/o who wants supper at six pm! Going to be a bumper week.

Didn’t weigh myself this Monday as I was in London over the weekend so thought I’d keep my spirits up by not admitting I’d probably gained a pound or two....

Weighed myself this morning without thinking, down to 18 stone exactly.

Hopefully I’ll lose a little more over the weekend. It’s nice to see the number coming down, when it starts in a whole lower stone, it feels great so fingers crossed for that!

Just out of interest, if you don't mind me asking, how much booze do you drink each day?

None. I've been teetotal for nearly 7 years now. Why do you ask?

I realised I was drinking about 400 calories a night without even thinking about it.
I haven't drunk for a month & the weight is falling off me.

A massive chunk of my weight piled on (an already big frame) when I stopped smoking. I stopped drinking 6 months after I stopped smoking as I found one made me want the other and it was simpler to cut it out.

I'm afraid I'm simply fighting a slow metabolism and a fast pie arm.

Feeling healthy finally after my Christmas cold/flu but have lost my training mo-jo. Cycled 38 miles on Monday and then have done nothing for the rest of this week. Aiming to do an hour on the turbo this evening.

Could add me to the list please.

Late October after much reading I decided I’d try the 5:2 as it would fit around my work.
I purchased a multi gym , a Fitbit , fixed up my ageing mountain bike & started using MFP.
My start weight was 17st 8lb / 111kg & I’m 5ft 6 , so a LittleFatbd.
By New Year I’d been losing a steady 1 to 2lb a week so broke my first goal of 17st.

My next goal was 16st / 102 kg.

By 21st Jan I weighed 16st 3lb / 103kg.
4th Feb I’d hit 16st , for the first time in probably 10 years.

Now my goals are:
15st / 93kg by the end of April.
14st / 89kg by the end of July.
Ideally I’d like to slowly lose another 6kg by the end of the year and maintain that.

Starting next week I’ll post my weigh ins, I’m currently working away and no scales.

I now put my bike in the van as part of tool packing when working away , try and get an hours bike ride each evening if possible. I’ve found the 5:2 fairly easy going , my FD are 600cal , my NFD about 2000cal. I’ve slipped a few times but 20 odd years of overeating is hard to break.
The best part for me is now having loose XL clothes & I’ve lost at least 4 inches from my waist.
