What brands are people buying/using? They seem to vary a lot in price, do they vary in grade?

Thread bump!

My mum (77) is in crippling pain following two hip replacements in quick succession, although the actual cause of the (groin) pain seems to have the medical profession at a loss... maybe a trapped nerve? Anyway, having been able to walk a few miles easily before, she now cant walk more than a few hundred yards before shes in terrible pain. Only morphine really touches it.

I heard about CBD oil from a youtube hiker i follow (he uses one made by "KentCBD" for daily joint pain) and thought it might be worth a punt, although im a bit confused about what strength to go for.

Kent sell both "Broad Spectrum" and "Full Spectrum", varying from 5% up to 30/35%.

Then earlier in this thread i saw someone recommend "Pureis", which seems to be synthetically produced CBD, but their oils are listed in "mg", rather than % - ie 280mg, or 560mg

Questions:
- is there any reason not to start off with the strongest available CBD oil? I feel like anything weak wont touch her pain
- How to i compare a "%" product from one company to a "mg" product from another?
- Anyone brought from either Kent or Pureis, or any other recommended sellers (im after the most legit companies possible, rather than some jokers that sell on facebook etc)

Realise that a lot of people reckon this is snake-oil, but at this stage im willing to try anything that might help frown

I can't help with the pain question, sorry.

Reading some of the previous pages, like others I never 'felt' any benefit from using CBD oils when I'd tried them previously for general de-stress etc. It all seemed a bit emperor's new clothes.

However I found my old bottle in the cupboard a couple of months ago and thought I'd give it a go again at night. This time I had a sleep tracker on my apple watch (sleep++ app).

The CBD has a very real and positive impact on my Heart Rate Variability (HRV) when I sleep (+30-40%), which according to the jargon shows less stress in my 'system' generally and aids recovery (as I do a fair bit of training). So whilst you may not be able to 'feel' any difference, I can see/prove that for me it really does make a difference. I now use it every night as a result.

FWIW I use around 40mg per night of Trip which is £40 for 3000mg https://drink-trip.com/products/dream-drops-cbd-oi...
