I think its my back, weirdly. Its noticable that the burning sensation always happens when I'm sitting in the car/tractor. I wonder if that's what is making my knees hurt too?
That was in my list of differential diagnosis. Lumbar radiculopathy.Go see your GP and explain the postural link. They will very likely refer to an msk physiotherapist. Google some exercises for sciatica too.

Sciatica *can* extend as far as the big toe.tr7v8 said:
My sciatica caused numbness of my left big toe & also excrutiating pain in left thigh & calf. Post op for L5 discectomy I still have a numb big toe & that is 15moths post op.
Was your discectomy L4/L5 or L5/S1?I had the latter but have exactly the opposite problem - my smaller toes (S1 dermatome) are totally numb but my big toes are normal.
2 years post op and all neurologists I've seen have said its permanent.

My rheumatoid arthritis started in my big toes at the age of 25, I just woke up in agony one day as if my toe had been crushed in a vice overnight. Took six years of mis-diagnosis, grinning and bearing it and hobbling around like a 90 year old till it got diagnosed via a simple blood test when I switched GP. By that point it was also in my wrists, elbows and knees. Go to the doctors, better it to be nothing now than something more serious a couple of years in the future.Gassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
