Toothache, horrendous horrendous toothache
Discussion
If an impacted wisdom tooth has resulted in decay in the tooth adjacent to it ,to a point where it requires root canal, I would seriously consider removal of that tooth. Frequently this will give room for the wisdom tooth to erupt into a functional postion. This saves having to dig out the wisdom tooth and a better option than trying to preserve the root filled tooth which can be life limited even with a crown.
My experience,
Toothache - abcess - blood poisoning - hospital
Had to get the blood and abcess under control and come back for the tooth, when they tried to take it out it shattered, they then had to cut it out.
I can remember just being laid out on the living room floor in pain, if someone had told me they could have fixed it there and then for £20k I'd have paid up. On the other hand I think if I'd had a shotgun I would have killed myself.
Anyone with toothache has my sympathies.
