PH Losers 2019 - Anyone want to join me?
Discussion
Bad few weeks for me but I've stayed broadly static.
I've not been eating as well as I perhaps should have, coupled with more meals out, cheat days and booze....started by a 3 day stag where I must have consumed a good 50 pints of lager and numerous stty meals.
I'm now back on the wagon and signing myself off beer again, lets hope the wine/gin works!, and am getting on the bike too - hopefully that'll improve the calorie deficit.

Bringing my total loss to 28.9 kg now. I've lost all the fat from the sides of my belly/waist (the 'wings') but still have quite a lot to shift from the front so I'll need to press on past my original 78 kg target to get rid of that. I'm also back on the rower again a few times a week to keep my muscles working so that my body doesn't try to start eating those instead of my fat ! I've had to make yet another new hole in my belt which can only be a good sign.
Keep chipping away at it folks.
Superb effort.Keep chipping away at it folks.
There are a decent number of people who have lost quite a bit of weight looking at the table. Good for you guys.

Hi, first time posting in this thread. Now Im getting close to my goals, Im trying to up my effort and motivation. Great to read others progress.
Was 15 stone (95kg) last summer, up to a 34" waist jeans and even those were feeling tight. Had been 32" waist all my life before that. Im 39 & 5' 10".
So been dieting since September, did really well until December then flattened off. I'd stopped using myfitness to enter my intake, easy to start eating to much without it. But been back on it properly since late Feb.
Today Im down to 77.5kg, just over 12 stone. Got some body fat measuring callipers and apparently at 16.5% body fat, which Im really happy with. Goal is to get to 10%, which should be about 73kg (11.5 stone)
Im eating about 1200 to 1400 cals a day, lots of protein. Eating a lot of chicken, rice & protein bars. Try to do 3 days of weights in the gym & 5000 meters on a concept 2 rowing machine 3 mornings (fasted).
So far its working really well, goal should take less than 5 weeks from here I think. (7000 cal deficit a week)
EDIT to add, I got diagnosed with sleep apnoea and started using a machine in the summer & had nose surgery. So much better sleep must have also had a big effect on my weight and eating habits.
Nearly 5 weeks since the above post and although I havent hit my goal, Ive still made really good progress. Weight this morning is 74.8kg (2.7kg down in exactly one month) & according to the body fat calipers 13.2% BF (although I think thats a bit optimistic). Was 15 stone (95kg) last summer, up to a 34" waist jeans and even those were feeling tight. Even my old clothes are all starting to get a bit big for me now. I certainly going to need to buy some new clothes when I hit my target.
Only 2 kg to go! :-) Plan to try and up my weight training to a 6 day split for the next 4 weeks. (chest & triceps, back & biceps, legs & shoulders, repeat, then rest Sunday)

Well and truly fallen off the wagon.
No updates in over 4 weeks for 161BMW, EL11SEG, MB140, spence1886, WUT. Another bunch to be added to the rejects list?
It's great to see the "eat less, exercise more" BroScience is working for everyone though.
A week of definite highs and a couple of lows for me!
Been hovering around the 161kg mark for ages and just couldn't break into the 150's! Friday morning weighed myself in at 159.6kg. Buzzing!
A weekend at a best friends wedding though enjoying myself see's me back at 161.5kg this morning. Not too worried about it as I had a great time and was worth it to see a pal tying the knot!
Good luck to everyone this week

Had a night out on Friday, had a few drinks and a nice meal, then we had family round the following day, drink was flowing but didnt have any, but a few sandwiches and a couple of pieces of cake.
Sunday Morning was 5 pounds heavier than on Friday !
Almost back down to where I was on friday but goes to show how you can fluctuate so much based on what you eat and drink, five pounds added in 36 hours or so, and didnt even go that mad.
Had gone without booze for a month, was the wife's birthday so had a couple of beers and some wine, but to be honest wastn all that fussed about it, felt a bit groggy and bloated the following day, I think you notice the effects more when you haven't had any for a while so no plans to have any this weekend.

I'm 66kg now...not even trying to lose weight anymore as I'm happy as I am, 28" waist, just trying to maintain it and not drop any more! Eat over 2500 calories a day. Had 2 large pizzas last week (laziness, I eat better mostly) It's great to see the "eat less, exercise more" BroScience is working for everyone though.
"Eat Less Exercise More" works 100% As if it wasn't already a proven fact, I've proven it again.
Edited to add: It isn't the diet choice so much as Will-Power and Motivation. The diet choice is simply the one that you are best able to stick to.
My sisters, bless them, struggle to stick to any diet. One is clinically obese - a far cry from her Gymnast Champion days! The other is ok, a little overweight but always 'dieting'. Both have been on Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Atkins and Keto - they frequently share Keto recipes with their friends on Social Media. Both lose a little weight, then pile it back on.
Neither exercises. Neither have the will-power to see any diet through. They both claim to be motivated but they aren't truly motivated, it is more a wish but only if it doesn't involve sacrifice. This is true of most who fail.
My motivation was stronger, I had an intense desire to stop shovelling food down and eat more healthily and in moderation according to my activity. Losing weight quickly was self-motivating for me too. My Will-Power - like yours, evidently - was greater than the temptation to quit.
No one diet is better than another, it is all about what the individual can master and not give up on - while ensuring a calorie deficit

I'd fallen off the wagon for a while but I've been back on it for the past 6 weeks! I've added a few runs in as well as my kickboxing.
Can anyone update me on the wiki as I'm on a phone.
Now 132.1kg down 4.1kg from my last weigh in in mid March and 143kg max.
Feeling much better for it! I haven't been less than 130kg for 10 years, but it seems doable now.
