16.3 today, 9 pounds off so far.

Must admit going away in July is the motivations, missus said that she bets I revert to old habits once that out of the way, she is probably right so am looking at booking another holiday biggrin

Am not that vain, honest but its a good short to medium term target to aim for.

Been on holiday the past week, eaten like a pig and drank like a fish.

Been swimming though and took kickboxing class so not all bad, I've cut down on the food after my first few days tbf too.

Few more days till I come back so I'm gonna keep my hand with with a fitness class each day so I don't completely fall off the wagon smile

On a roll, 16.2 today, did eat masses yesterday, well, did have half a pizza but had cycled 20 miles and walked 2 and a half, not really been on the bike for a year, bum hurts a bit now.

No beer, missus had 2/3rds (she claims half) a bottle of wine, prattled all through the film, messed with her phone and had to go to bed at 9.30, bloody lightweight, thats what I would call a starter, an aperitif biggrin

But, had no booze and to be honest not even a pang, after ages of feeling its part of my routine at the weekend I am quite happy not to, had a few when we were out last weekend and didnt really enjoy it that much to make it worth it. Not going teetotal but it has been a lot easier to cut it out than anticipated.

Morning all, found this thread looking for Concept 2 rower stuff, thought I’d contribute.

Decided to try and lose a few Kg’s mainly in the hope it would reduce the frequency and volume of my snoring which was driving my other half absolutely mental. I’d always been very fit and active but life/work in the past 5 years seems to have slowly taken its toll.

We eat pretty healthy but a lack of exercise and portion size control were my biggest issues (and biscuits). So it was a pretty simple plan:
1. Exercise more (dusted off the rower, bike and curl bar)
2. Eat smaller portions (with more of it being green)
3. Do not eat any biscuits.

It’s working.

6’1” 47 years old and 102.5 Kg when I started on 21st April.

92 Kg today and feeling much better for it.

...and to her great relief it’s helped reduce the snoring smile

Another 0.4kg off this week, down to 103.4kg. (Scales did read 103.1 but that seemed low so I tried again and got 103.4 3 times...)

That means 12.7kg off in total since the start of the year which is exactly 2 stone in old money.

Nothing new to report here; just more of the same. I updated table with numbers on Tuesday but my phone battery was low and the flash wouldn't work for a pic. I am a sliver away from losing 5 stones in 5 months by Saturday but I had a big take-away treat yesterday which has put me back up by nearly 2kg so won't lose that in 2 days.

June will be the final month for me to bring my total to 6 stones/74kg and put me at 11 st 9. Not going any lower than that otherwise I'll look like a stick at my height. I plan to keep under 12 stone and am very confident I'll be able to maintain it too as I've taken to IF like a duck to water and it's working great for controlling my weight. The complimentary comments from friends/relatives/work colleagues that I haven't seen for months, plus the "spring in my step" from not having to cart around 30kg+ of lard with me anymore make it all worth the effort. Sick of having to buy new clothes every couple of months though irked. First world problems...

Keep chipping away it at Rob (+others still battling on).

I have not fallen off the wagon however I have stayed the same for a few weeks. I'm back out on tours so no easy trips to the kitchen which I hope will help. Last week I had my neck seize up after a 15h shift, one emergency app later to try and fix and the chiropractor gave me a kick up the backside about getting exercise as I am in constant pain with my joints, so I stopped making excuses and joined the gym. Now on the days I am not working I drop my daughter at school and go straight there.

Baby steps.

Well done.

How can "a treat" put you up 2kg, bloody hell! I'm on my 3rd (and final) round of having to buy new clothes. It is annoying as you say, but also very gratifying smile

Cheers moose smile , sounds like you're doing good yourself, too! By "treat" I'm not talking about a choccy bar or some biscuits, more like a full size take-away meal hehe . I guess it's mostly water retention as the food will be acting like a sponge.

I just checked in after several weeks' holiday binging and expected horrendous weight gain. It was only 0.2kg!

Can you update table? It says March last update. If you're on mobile post them here.

I'm doing that thing where I think I'm not going to lose any this week after weighing myself this morning...

Taking bets on whether I will or not....

I've returned from my holiday, two weeks all-inclusive meant I put on 3kg so back up to 99.5kg frown

Back on it now though, two Taekwondo sparring sessions this week and eating normally again. Back off the booze for at least a couple months too.

Lemming Train - feel free to remove it if it's not okay, but I've added myself to the league table even though I'm not really starting until 1st July. It's for a couple of reasons, one of which is that I need to clear out my cupboards of crap food and design myself a little meal plan & exercise regime.

Frightening to see that my start weight is above everyone else's. I say "start weight", I'll edit it if I'm a different weight in three weeks time.

Glad to be aboard though.

0.5kg off despite going out for a big meal on Friday. That’ll do.
