I've now set myself a target of getting back down to 86k by Christmas so I can still wear the clothes I bought last year. So that's 10 weeks at 1k per week.
I'm revising my target; I'm now aiming for 80k by Christmasshoot

Well three full weeks have passed and I can report that my calorie consumption this week has averaged out at 923 kCal/day.
6.2 units of alcohol were consumed and the calories are included in the above calculation.

Tomorrow is weigh-day and I'll report in again via the progress table.

0.8kg down this week! I think the cold weather is making me lose more because I’m constantly freezing cold at home.

It’s looking like I’ll be around 84kg by the end of the year, which I’ll be extremely happy with, that’ll be a nice round 5 stone in a year.

Great work, lads & lasses. There's some decent results coming through right now... clap

Weighed in at Boots this morning and that's another two pounds gone, making it 3 stone 1 pound in eighteen weeks. The challenge was to lose eight stone in a year so with 34 weeks left, I need to lose 69 pounds in total. That's a couple of pounds a week, so will be looking at changing the exercise schedule a bit in a few weeks time.

Currently just eating less, eating better and walking around 70,000 steps a week. Most of them are "boots on" walks, I'm up over 350 miles now which is what I'd hoped for by now. So far my losses have gone... (in pounds...)

9-4-4-2-2-1-4-1-2-3-1-2-1-1-1-2-1-2.

So I've plateaued, but still lost something every week for eighteen weeks now.

Morning all, found this thread looking for Concept 2 rower stuff, thought I’d contribute.

Decided to try and lose a few Kg’s mainly in the hope it would reduce the frequency and volume of my snoring which was driving my other half absolutely mental. I’d always been very fit and active but life/work in the past 5 years seems to have slowly taken its toll.

We eat pretty healthy but a lack of exercise and portion size control were my biggest issues (and biscuits). So it was a pretty simple plan:
1. Exercise more (dusted off the rower, bike and curl bar)
2. Eat smaller portions (with more of it being green)
3. Do not eat any biscuits.

It’s working.

6’1” 47 years old and 102.5 Kg when I started on 21st April.

92 Kg today and feeling much better for it.

...and to her great relief it’s helped reduce the snoring smile
Still at it, still going well.
Weight loss has slowed significantly but my focus seems to have shifted toward improved fitness (knocking time off 10k on the rower for example) rather than the scales.
Comfortably back in 34” waist jeans rather than snugly in 36” and my XL shirts/t-shirts are now a baggy fit.
88.1Kg today.
Despite a few ups and downs (knee problems, couple of big weekends and working away) I seem to have settled at 83Kg and kept mostly to the new eating/exercise habits.
Early August was down to 80Kg before the knee started giving me grief but that was in summer salad weather so not realistic long term.

Approx 20Kg gone and a much healthier diet adopted - happy with that and hoping not to have to join 2020 PH losers thread.

Keep up the good work guys

....and back out of that groove - up 0.5lbs (0.2Kg). Not disastrous but will certainly focus my mind a little more than usual this week.

Back to 21.4kg lost in total.

I'm finding it difficult to get passed the 90 kg mark even though I'm eating and drinking according to plan; it must be something to do with the weather ?

Mine seems to be a little random. I was up 0.5lb 2 weeks ago, then down 5.5lbs, now up 0.5lbs again... I don't really think I ate significantly differently last week to the week before either.

As long as the long-term trend is there I don't mind the odd blip upward now and again. Here's my progress since I started SW in August:

Green line is 'Club 10' (10% of starting weight lost) and purple is target.

Here's a sample of meals

Breakfast
Small toast+butter = 80
Marmite = 10
Total = 90 kCal

Lunch
100g Diced Chicken =110
150g Boiled Potato = 98
50g Corn = 30
tsp Butter = 30
Total = 268

Dinner
102g Tuna = 115
Tomato = 20
Sliced beetroot = 20
Pickled Gherkin =10
Melon slice = 45
30g Grapes = 20
50g Strawberry = 17
Bread Roll+Butter = 200
Total = 447

Drinks are water, low cal tonic water or black coffee = say 20 kCal

Occasional glass of wine adds 107 kCal

Occasional yogurt adds 60 kCal

So daily total varies 850 - 950 kCal/day

88.4kg this morning, again a significant number because that means that for the first time since about 2010, I’m a healthy weight on the NHS BMI calculator.

I’m going to keep at it though, there’s definitely more to come off!

Fantastic work, Funk. clap

After eighteen successive losses,this week I put two pounds on. I'm disappointed but it's where I go from here that counts so onwards and upwards. Still 18.7kg down after 19 weeks though and almost on target.

Thanks Martin. I know what you mean about seeing things reverse unexpectedly (albeit mine have only been a half-lb) and I agree, it's done, it happened - it shouldn't affect this week or next if you stick on-plan. Like you, I found it helped to focus on how much I've lost so far rather than how little went back on. smile
