Is anyone finding they look any different yet?
I'm not doing anything super special except having some Tesco slim milkshake for breakfast (leave home really early and can't face proper breakfast that time of day) and plenty of water as well as cutting out the crap.
So far I'm finding my gut looks less bloated but no other noticeable change. (to me at least)

Good point, I’m still a coffee fiend in work but paying a lot more attention to drinking 2litre of water a day at least. Difficult to tell, when I look at myself in the mirror I’d say no but I think a lot of that is in my head, I still look fat so seeing a difference isn’t easy. However, I’m less bloated and my work uniform (or at least the top half) is noticeably looser, even after only losing ~3kg.
I also feel thinner, I’ve not lost a dramatic amount but I can definitely feel it more than I can see it.
My weight didn't change, so I haven't updated the table. I've reduced daily calories, but as a result seem to have the odd late snack now which is undoing the effort. Colleague came around this morning handing out biscuits and to be polite I tried to take one, but it was stuck to another so ended up having 2. Bah!
Just found this thread.
My weight loss started at the end of March last year. 47 years old, 6ft 2 and weighed in at 150kg! I couldn't believe it myself.
I've just been applying the eat less exercise more rule and set myself a target of losing 50kg in a year so about one kg a week. This requires a daily calorie deficit of 1000 calories.
I cut out crisps and chocolate, replaced with fruit, cut down on booze and fizzy drinks and cut down on carbs. One thing that was hurting me was I was working from home a lot and when doing so only doing about 1500 steps a day. So I started getting up at the time I would travel to work and walking until I logged on (2-3 miles) when WFH. I've walked 1660 miles since the end of March last year.
To start with the weight came off rapidly, as I imagine it takes a lot of energy to maintain a body of that size! I allowed by self a bit of a lapse during December as I had done well during the rest of the year. I weigh myself every day and also bought an apple watch, closing the rings everyday and completing the monthly challenges has really helped.
So as of this morning I'm at 118.1kg, 31.9kg down from where I started, about 5 stone lost. 18.1kg to go and then decide what to do from there, not sure I'll do it by the target of end March now but I will get there. I had to replace all my clothes and I've not kept any of the old ones, I'm not going back.

Apologies, I didn't check in last week due to the scales reading exactly the same as they did the previous.
Strange how it all works, first week had zero beer and was very strict on the diet. End of the week no change.
The last week has included a weekend of beer with a takeaway, and also a couple of birthdays at work which meant cake, cake, and more cake. Scales this morning read 0.75kg down.
If only it could be like that every week, I think i'd have this diet lark nailed!

I've done a bad - just scoffed a portion a Pret egg and bacon breakfast baguette, leftovers from a meeting earlier - barely had carbs since the new year as well!
Guess I can always just call that lunch?
Back on the scales this morning and was still at 122.9kg, same as Sunday, althugh having only got home from work at 21:20 and cooked/eaten after (pork chops and Kale) I guess that was sitting on my stomach overnight, that and this diet has ruined my "regularity" - hopefully it'll transfer into some further weight loss at this weekend's weigh-in.

Feck me!
This time last year I was about 85kgs. Currently about 76-77kgs, 9kgs down. Not relevant to this year's topic, but...
I just walked a couple of miles back from supermarket with a six pack 1.5 litres water ie 9kgs. Christ it was heavy by the time I got back to my hotel. To think I was carrying that around on me for years, decades even...

I felt every single one of the additional pounds I was carrying over the 25,000ish steps a day!
Facebook memories were kind enough to remind me of going for a job interview in 2011 a few days ago. I know I weighed 80kg on the nose when I started that job, I was 99.5kg when I returned from Vegas.

Yeah great effort that, brilliant result!
Thanks guys, still got a long way to go but enjoying the results. It's weird though, I feel fatter now in a way as I'm very much aware of everything, before I was in complete denial/ignorance of how much I weighed.

Well it’s my birthday today, so far have been good all day, my usual frittata and olives for lunch, but wavering over a birthday takeaway tonight. Shouldn’t really, am out for dinner both Friday and Saturday. Talk me out of it
Just think of all the press ups and running you'll need to do burn off all that calorie packed birthday cake you'll be filling your fat face with. Oh and we'll all enjoy having a jolly good laugh at you next week when your weight's increased by 4kg .
