Yesterday was a bad day, I was incredibly busy between phone calls to insurance (big shout out to LV who were superb about my weird living situation), work and having to pop and see my grandparents I only managed 15 minutes of HIIT. Food wise, not too bad but it could have been better, breakfast was alrady covered. Dinner ended up being Shepherds Pie with Broccoli and then Apple and Rhubarb Crumble with Brown Bread Icecream for afters! I only had a very small portion of pudding, but my Grandmother had made both especially for me as a thank you for working on their IT stuff, I couldn't say no.

Today, so far so good, one rasher of streaky bacon grilled with a dry fried egg and a small slice of white bread. Dinner will be whatever is at a 60th birthday party later, hoping to get at least 30 minutes of HIIT in today and see how we go.

Successfully made it four days sugar/ processed food free. Probably placebo but feel much better, no bloating or fullness after meals. Have massively cut down on carbs too, not completely but a lot less than before.

Still lifting heavy. Hit a deadlift PB record yesterday so pleased to see hasn’t impacted in gym. Still think I might be eating a bit much but at least now it’s the good stuff. I’ll take stock after a couple of weeks. I’m hoping that ditching the processed crap, cakes, biscuits, ice cream pizza etc will be enough but we’ll see.

How often is everybody planning on weighing in? Was thinking of weighing myself maybe once a week?

Good work Tim! I have cut as much sugar/carbs as I can out of what eat and drink where I can, that said, I still have a sugar in my coffee (managed to half it from two though)

Weigh in will be on the 9th for me as I started on the 2nd, I think a weekly weigh in will do, so folks, get those cameras ready for the 9th, I would like photographic submissions to keep us all honest smile

If too often you get misleading figures as a lower figure by a couple of kg could simply be due to having a good st and piss 30 mins prior and not yet eaten anything that day laugh. I find my weight often varies 4-5 lbs if I weigh on a daily basis depending on what I've had to eat/drink and been doing.

Weekly, first thing in the morning after a clear out and before breakfast for me as that will be as consistent as can be.

Just done the food shop with this in mind, got all work lunches/breakfasts sorted too! And dinner to Wednesday...else the veg starts to go off in my experience:

Work breakfasts: 3 scrambled eggs, turkey mince patty, spinach

Work lunches: mixed leaves, above turkey mince patty, roasted sweet potato/pepper/tomato/red onion and vinigratte

Dinners:
Tomorrow: chicken wings & salad
Monday: roast chicken, mixed leaves, hallumi, roasted veg as per my lunches
Tuesday: mixed veg and tomato ragu with turkey steaks

Got another one but can’t remember it right now, next week’s breakfasts will be overnight oats (almond milk - don’t get in with normal) with frozen mixed fruits.

Hopefully this will keep me going! Also intend to cut down on the coffee’s, normally have 3 a morning (plain black americano) so not too bad I don’t think.

Right I'm off out for a sizzling steak and a few beers .......I'm not doing this right am I?

To be fair though I have kept on the treadmill every day since wed, walk the dog twice a day and do normally watch what I eat, need a treat every so often as you'd never stick rigidly to healthy food, once in a while is doable.

You can do what you want..... as long as you're happy to be laughed at and called a fatty when you check-in with your weekly figure which has gone up by several kilos! laugh

I tend to weigh myself every morning for continuity, but I’m leaning towards every other day. It’s motivating seeing the numbers go down but a lot less so when they flat line.

First few days haven’t been that great here tbh;

Positives:
- More walking
- Found a workout routine I’ll be able to stick to
- Haven’t had any alcohol

Negatives:
- Have cleared out the remaining party nibbles, sometimes bursting through calorie allowance
- Nothing like sugar free, my beloved energy drinks remain

Some of that I can blame on the wife encouraging it, some I cannot. Thing is, I bloody well know better irked

STO you're on the list. LosingGrip you're on the list too! I've put the list in height and then weight order for easier comparison against how other similar fatties are doing hehe.

Added myself. Currently near 100kg. Trying to get to 90kg in an ideal world. Now going to the gym 3 times a week for about 60 mins then a 30 minute swim and I need to be looking at a diet plan. So will start my research now. All this for a bit of motorbike racing and general fitness. My biggest problem is stamina, so I’ve got to get that sorted as priority number 1.

Count me in. Currently 136.9kg I started kickboxing about a year ago but despite being fitter I haven't lost much weight. I've started DDP yoga this week which I'm really enjoying and seems to be having a positive effect. I'll be happy if I can get down to around 110kg. I'm planning to do tough mudder in september, I did it last year but would like to improve my time!

is it too late to join? I'm 30, 6ft0 and currently at 132.1kg. My son was born 19 months ago and I've piled on the pounds since. Aiming to drop to at least 110kg by August for a mountain bike event, every kg I don't have to pedal up the hills will help!
