Was expecting this, and today when I weighed myself, I am exactly the same as last week, so no loss to report. Common issue when dieting is when you hit a plateau, diet is OK, exercising as normal, but nothing to show, and its extremely frustrating and very easy to go "fk it, pass the biscuit tin " but I'm determined to keep focused, after all I'm 7kg less than a month ago, feel loads better within myself, and can see that things are going the right way with how my jeans fit (on the last hole in my belt, which is a constant indicator) So keep on keeping on is the message here, ill see how it goes over the next week, and if still the same ill try to mix up the exercise, although I'm beginning to get addicted to the treadmill and start to get a bit anxious if I miss a session, or change my diet a bit, poached egg on grannery toast is filling me nicely in the morning, but two eggs might be cut to one, and see how long the hunger pangs stay away.
In the past at this point I've gradually given up, this thread should help that from not happening this time ......I'm hoping.

No chance for a weigh in this morning before heading out but I am not confident of a loss this week, time has been massively against me exercise wise, I have stuck to my diet though (other than Saturday night just gone when at the BRSCC awards night) so hopefully it wont have gone up!

Sorry - should have proof read before posting,
I am the exact same weight as last week, even with a really healthy diet, will have to see if I can move things along this week, hoping for a kg loss in a week.
Maintaining is just as good as a loss . Apparently your body does get used to things, so mixing it up at the gym can be a good thing. I am the exact same weight as last week, even with a really healthy diet, will have to see if I can move things along this week, hoping for a kg loss in a week.
I got a salad from Tesco earlier...amazed to see that it had 20g of fat in it! Little bit scary. Apparently I should be looking at under 90g a day.
Did pick up some chicken breast in the reduced section for dinner tonight though.
Salad at home is a couple of dozen calories, I use dressing rather than mayo which is about 40 cals a bottle so a splash over my salad with that is fk all.
When out from home for work, dinner tends to be a salad bowl from a supermarket with a tub of reduced fat prawn cocktail (the ASDA one is awful, the Tesco one is pretty good). That tends to be about 300 cals for dinner with a "desert" of a bag of Metcalfs sweet and salty popcorn (70ish cals).

I stopped buying them as I got sick of the sand getting stuck between my teeth.Weighed in yesterday morning and as suspected, no real loss, a small loss though of 300g now down to 102.0kg which is great considering lack of exercise last week.
Was gifted an exercise bike last weekend so did 30 minutes on that this morning on difficulty 3 interspersed with difficulty 7 for a minute in every 5, felt good just about right. Couple this in with some HIIT this week and I am hoping Fridays weigh in will show an improvement. Must get under 100kg by the end of Feb, that's my target for this month and should see me down to 90 for the end of April which will be perfect!

OP here, well done PH Losers for sticking to it! I havent been active on here much but the weight loss continues I have now managed to just squeeze myself under 100kg! Pretty pleased with that considering I haven't been able to exercise a great deal or stick to much in the way of a diet owing to work, travel and timezones etc. I will be back on it for the next few weeks as work has stabilised nicely for a short while.
Weighed back in today, 97.9kg, only lost 0.7kg in the last couple of weeks but they have been bad food weeks (a wedding, couple of takeaways, much booze)
Calorie intake back down to 1700cals or so a day, exercise is back on again having been a little lapse over the same period! Next week it ramps up to twice a day, 30 mins bike, 30 minutes HIIT. Calorie intake may have to go up a little then to offset the additional burn.
I operate purely on guess work and a little googling which seems to work.

Well done to everyone sticking with it and welcome to the noobz! Weighed in today and have finally cracked 97kg having been stuck here for the better part of a month! Pretty pleased with that but still a long way but sticking with it has been worthwhile, I am in better shape than I have ever been which is nice and feel more confident in a Tshirt than ever before (almost have a flat stomach now!) also have dropped two inches off my waist which is nice but also a pain as I now need new jeans
So here is a question.
I tend to exercise twice a day, first at around lunchtime and the other in the evening. In most instances I am hungry when I start and ravenous some 30 minutes after I finish.
Would I be better off eating before hand and not being hungry when I start? Or is what I am doing ok? I am happy working out when hungry, don't really notice once I start and I am careful not to over eat when I do because I am that much more hungry IYSWIM?

OP here, anyone remember me?
Just weighed myself, down to 93.5kg. Apologies for vanishing from the thread for so long, we moved back into our house in May following last years flooding so all this look after myself and eat sensibly was out of the window, turns out that wasn't a massive issue as I have been flat out redoing all of our landscaping etc, dropped a kilo in 4 months without actually watching what I ate or doing any specific exercise beyond DIY.
Anyway I am back on the wagon, job this week is to tidy up my office and get my "workout" area back up and running again.
Well done to everyone losing weight, sticking with it old and new!

Today is the day.
Just checked my weight for today and.... finally reached my goal! 6 stones lost in just less than 8 months.
1 January :
= 17 stone 9 lbs
28 August :
= 11 stone 9 lbs.
It's been quite the journey with many ups and downs along the way.
Gone from 36"/38" jeans/formal kecks to 32" with a belt/comfortably, and 2-3XL shirts down to M/L depending on cut.
Got to give a 'shout out' to geeks for starting the thread as it's proved to be just the motivator I needed to get my st together. It's 99% likely without it I'd be over 18 stone now so "cheers" to you Dan if you're still lurking, sir.
