Please explain how apple cider vinegar and cold water have helped your weight loss.

3st 5lb lost now in 5.5months. Target was 6 stone, so still a fair way to go. But well into the regime now so pretty confident. Managed to turn down my own birthday cake, whilst family and friends enjoyed it.
Happy birthday!

Heavily biased research there, I’d suggest broadening your reading and thinking critically. Google scholar is a good place to start - ACV certainly has some dietary benefits but it’s a little more complicated than just stating ACV is good for weight loss. There are also risks that you should pass on as part of the recommendation, such as oesophageal and/or tooth erosion.

Those risks are all but eliminated by dilution with water.

People have suggested it's just a placebo effect, and perhaps they are right, but why should I care. I take it because I was told it would make me feel less hungry, and I take it, and I feel less hungry. Job done. How it achieves that effect doesn't overly concern me.

ruggedscotty, sounds like you and I are on exactly the same trajectory! I started Slimming World in August too and as of weigh-in on Monday I'm down 3st. My starting weight was higher than yours, I started at 27st 2lb although without your height advantage to offset some of it! Currently at 24st 2.5lbs.

I thought it would be grim going to 'group' but have found I really enjoy it. Those that stay to group lose more weigh overall too apparently. Combined with cardio and light weights at the gym 3-4 times a week I'm seeing real changes which is very encouraging. I'm reaching the point now where I think I'm going to get a PT to help me get the most out of the time and effort I put in at the gym.

Stick with it fella!

I'm down from around 18 1/2 to 15 stone. I seem to have got stuck there though. I am 6ft 4 so I look a lot slimmer. Been cycling a lot though so maybe my thigh muscles are adding some weight. smile

Bit of a struggle of late, have a couple of ups and downs but back on focus now and working on getting the rest off. Will update in the new years after a bit of concentrated effort.

The loss has kind of bottomed out for me but I just need to get my mind into the right place again.

Tell me about it, I'm gonna have a good blow out over Christmas, but come 6th Jan i've gotta get serious about losing a bit.

Have been determined to run 5 miles a day, every day over xmas, in order to keep the weight off, combined with eating sensibly. Had to work today so was up at 6 to get the run in.

Wee update, Christmas went well as can be, holiday in Thailand and weight shot up 5 1/2 pounds...

back and hit the gym and monitored the food intake and got that back off. didn't like it and felt terrible about putting on the weight. guilty as charged.

Anyway weigh in tonight and got my 3 stone, still working away at it and will get that down. hope to lose another 3 stone.
