That's great that's it's working out for you. Hope it continues to get better. See if you can get a blood test after a few months to check everything is in order.

It's the Testosterone Deficiency Center at http://www.androids.org.uk/forum/index.php

Nick O'Hara Smith who set up TDC sadly passed away last year. He helped me personally, and hundreds of other Testicular Cancer patients. The forum is quite good with several knowledgeable posters.
Anyone know how to register on this forum? I've tried & got no response.
I've PM'd you the site admin's email address. TDC also has a Facebook group that you might have more luck joining. Search on FB for "Testosterone Deficiency Group".

Thanks, I'll try that email address. Facebook is the very last place I'd use for this sort of issue though.

I'd normally agree, but it's a closed FB group with most of the same posters you'll find on the TDC forum. Neither is particularly active though, so might wait a while for a response.

I had my annual check up at the endo. When i first started my T was at bout 5, i started with 1 sachet of Testogel a day. When that was checked a few months later my levels had hardly changed so it was upped to 1.5, which then became 4 pumps. At the subsequent check up my levels were in the 35 range and my Hemogolbyn was too high. So she dropped the dose.

Annoyingly I felt the best I have when it was as high as 35. Back again now and I feel some of the symptoms I had before, my level is back down to 14 which she said was good and blamed my symptoms on being overweight and BP being too high.

Sounds similar to me. I was on 1.5 sachets of Testogel for years, which then became 4 pumps. My level went through the roof at 100+. My haematocrit and cholesterol levels were also very high and I was told to stop TRT for a month as my blood was so thick it could cause stroke or heart attack.

After a month my blood was fine and I restarted on 2 pumps a day, that was back in January. I have no testicles so totally reliant on TRT. My T level has been anywhere from 0 to 100+ over the years and I've always felt like st. There seems to be no correlation between my T level and how I feel.

However, I started on antidepressants almost exactly one year ago and it's been the best year I've had for a very long time. No more brain fog, insomnia, lethargy, poor memory or lack of concentration. Still not perfect, but a million times better than I've felt for the last ten years since I lost my second bk.

so....saw the Dr today for a consult (he had my blood tests already as I sent those over in advance) and started a protocol today!

Test and HCG injected daily. Review in 4 weeks.

He was excellent and took my "luxury concerns" about wanting to run Spartan races and still be muscular (and not turn into a skinny runner build) as seriously as my more "fundemental concerns" about brain fog, focus, mood, etc.

Let's see how this goes!

Oh...and at 45 I'd managed to avoid a prostate exam until now. All I can say is, this stuff better be worth it! How has modern science not invented a better way to check that? Neuro doctors aren't checking your brain by ramming a finger up your nose!!!!

well....."uncomfortable without pain" is the best way to describe. Like pushing your finger into your eye!

I'm sure the first time is the worse for "shock" value. My plan was to lie still and act "manly" but the ability to control your thought/mouth link seems to vanish and I did plenty of "whooooooooo......ahhhhhhh" Was probably over in 6 seconds and your left thinking "WTF just happened".

I was assured my reaction was not the most extreem (but I'm sure he's had better!)

If the dr has both hands your shoulders, it's gone badly wrong.

And if he leaves the room while it's still ongoing that's gang rape and you need to raise it with the receptionist on the way out. Highly frowned upon.

You have testosterone that needs injection everyday? Is that testosterone suspension? Or is it just hcg everyday?

Yep micro dosing of both. Was given the option of less regular jabs but he highlighted some downsides to that protocol versus smaller, daily, jabs and (as I could see no downside to just incorporating it into my mornings each day) went with daily.

I hope he bought you dinner first.
The luxury concerns sound good! Look at Sky at 70-odd!

Do you use insulin needle for testosterone suspension.

Yep, little tiny thing. Couldn’t even feel it when he pinned me. I have a weird like if needles anyway. Draw my own blood for tests, etc. So not to fussed.

Sounds good Tigsy - we both starting at the same time. Ive been on Testan gel for a week now.

Energy levels are far better and I'm more aggressive at the boxing club (only when required - day to day I'm placid enough)

I'm 46 so were are a similar age too so it will be interesting to see how things go.

My only notable side effects after a week is that my appetite has diminished slightly and Ive been feeling nauseous after eating.
Doc reckons things will level out after a few weeks as body normalises.

Sleep is better but still seem to wake at 0200hrs for a while!

This is an interesting timeline of effects article

Cheers. Doesn't sound too bad. I've rehearsed my reaction...
