I popped in here a while ago. My weight loss journey flopped.
My work pants are no longer usable as the clasp fella off and now today my button fell off.

So my weight loss journey has to start again. Wife is back at work so when I’m not in work I’m minding the baby and when I’m in work I’m eating rubbish food and sitting on my ass.

Weigh in will be tomorrow.
I feel for you but it's not an impossible situation. If feasible, whey not take the baby out for long walks, obviously if in a pram. It may help as I know that walking helped me an awful amount. smile

Can anyone suggest any easy meals to prep that are low in calorie/ tasteful that they use please?
Chicken breasts. Lightly seasoned, sliced in half and grilled, along with a boiled potato and veg of your choice. An alternative is pork medallions, just to vary things really.
Cheers.
We have a Labrador I do also walk daily but it doesn’t seem to be too much.
My sole improvement needs to be diet first and foremost.
That’s my main issue. Empty calories with sugar.

Got my annual sore throat and phlegmy nose at the moment so I’ve got no appetite. As a result (a day early...) I’m down to 83.5kg.

I also bought some new scales which do body fat etc, they seem to read slightly under my old ones though, according to them, I’m 83.25kg

Not sure which ones to use really, I guess the new ones but I’ll just have to remember the 250g jump at the end!

You can also buy packets of Nando's Rubs (peri peri, BBQ etc) to add a bit of flavour. For chicken, grill, oven (20-25mins at 180 fan) or fry 3mins, flip 3mins, flip 3mins, flip 3mins with a little bit of oil.

I took some photos of my scales as well, then fortunately realised that the reflection of me squatting down stark bk naked to take the photo was not something I every want to see again!!

I’ve got mine too hehe
I wouldn’t focus on the bodyfat guess which is what it is. You’re better off googling bodyfat pictures and comparing yourself to the images provided.

Thanks Ben. I’ve had a George foreman in the past which was handy.
Grabbed some tuna, chicken and mince before.
Didn’t get chance to weigh myself though.

Olive website - best healthy recipes. Great website and no paywall.

Did a meal pan for January using a number of these recipes (as well as going through various cookbooks looking for low calories meals). Lots of variety (Japanese style beef salad, curried cod, Indian salmon with chickpea stew, etc) but as much as anything else having a meal plan means you don’t buy st in the supermarket because you it’s easy/you can’t think of anything else for dinner.

Also made some lentil soup using ham stock from the Xmas ham and been having Tom Kerridge’s overnight oats (on BBC food website) for breakfast.

Another 5lbs gone since 2nd January making 22lbs in total - 10kgs in new money. Still a very long way to go but I'm hitting my weekly targetted weight losses for now. Aim is for another 5lbs next week. Steps up over 85,000 this week so the aim is to beat that next week as well as starting back at the gym.

Saturday is going to be my weigh in day moving forward. Dropped down to 129kg I’m close to getting under 20 stone which hopefully I can achieve before the end of Jan
I’m down again this week 127.7 so close to getting under 20 stone. I’m off out for a meal tonight to celebrate a friends birthday so I’ll be indulging tonight and back on track tomorrow to try and get into the teens in stones.

I am 17st 11lbs as of this morning. That's 8lbs down since the start. Over half a stone.

Very pleased.

Still a long way to go!

Edit - seems i messed up a little bit, I went to update the table, only to find that it says I am less than I am this morning, I knew last week I would go up a little as I was travelling for work, eating out etc. Lost track a bit. Its only 1lb, so have left the table as it is. Ignore me, i'm just wittering onto to myself, I can only apologise if you've read this far.

Just 0.3kg down this week. Kind of expected after the big loss last week. Still, at least it's going the right direction.

0.2kgs this week, which is somewhat of a miracle as i'm just back from a carb-intensive 3 days skiing. Happy days...

Late comer but with a wedding this year I need to drop a bit more. Down half a stone this year and aiming for a few more!

Weigh-in for me tonight at SW; another week where I'm really not sure what the outcome will be... MFP reckons I've had a net calorie deficit this week of 8,199 although I've really gone for it at the gym this week so it'll be interesting to see how that translates.

I'll update later tonight regardless!

Was struggling to find my name when wishing to update the Wiki, so sorted it into usernames. Hope this is okay.

Yeah, no probs - although it looks like there are quite a few who've not updated since the beginning so we might see it thinned a little after the 'no-updates-in-4-weeks' rule...

I was contemplating that too - also looks like Ambuletz is doubled up

Just updated from yesterday's weigh in.

I'm actually now at my original target weight though have set another 2Kg buffer for all the normal day to day fluctuations. By target weight I mean that basically my weight and BMI have gone green on the app I'm using and I'm now under 12 stone (or 76Kg) for the first time in over 40 years. yikes

Happy to drop a little more but don't want to go much less than around 74Kg as I'm starting to look a bit haggard now, so I think I'll just concentrate on keeping my new found stealth look in trim with simple exercises. biggrin

Incidentally, another sack of clothes went for charity this morning, the wardrobe is looking decidedly bare now though not before time as it was getting very cluttered

Great stuff, well done!

A new wardrobe is one of the upsides apparently!
