If you can make it to Scotch Corner, you can have my bench for a small donation to a charity of your choosing. It's too much of a PITA for me to find the packaging and post.

I bought three days before lockdown and used it twice laugh

It's this one but with different branding: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sportstech-Innovative-Erg...
That’s very kind of you. A quick Google search has reminded me that Scotch Corner isn’t actually that far so I may have to take you up on the offer. I‘ll drop you a message soon!

Looking for a bit of advise.

Weightloss was going well for a month or so. slowed down after a couple of days off diet. But restarted pretty quickly. But now I have been stuck at the same weight for a week or so.

Diet hasn't changed still eating the same amount of calories. If anything have slightly upped exercise. Yet cant shift anymore. What the hell do I do now ?

Check your BMR (not BMI) online, using your new weight. It might be that you’re now eating the right amount of calories to maintain weight rather than lose more.

Or, it could just be that it often does plateau for a short time while your body adjusts to the new regime. If it’s used to x amount of calories and you’re giving it less, you often get a period of time where your body tries to hold on to them for longer. That will sort itself out but I’d check the BMR too.

Good recommendation Rob.

In the current temps it could also be something as straightforward as short-term water retention.

How often is the OP weighing, maybe too often? Even at my "peak" of losing weight, I didn't often weigh myself more than once a week but it sounds like the OP is weighing in too regularly ("stuck at this weight for a week or so").

Still here. I've hit my weight target - exercise is lacking. I need to get a Concept II rower once they are no longer selling at a covid premium.

Competitive dad at son's lads and dads football match on Sunday mixed with no training for the past four months resulted in me tearing my calf muscle.

Not what I needed just before getting back to it.

How you getting on Funk? Have you decided to go back to the gym yet?

Be very careful. I tore a calf muscle & then subsequently tore my achilles. According to my physio it is very common due to the way they work together. Been nearly a year getting better but still having physio

Thanks for the heads up. I'm paranoid about my achilles as I know far too many people who have ruptured theirs, so I religiously warm them up without fail before bouncing around kickboxing. Physio on Thursday.

However on Sunday I didn't want to be that guy warming up on the sidelines before a knockabout with the kids biggrin That'll learn me...

Amazing how much muscle I've gained since lockdown started. I've bulked up over 10kg. Although the extra hair and a beard probably account for 5kg. Good that all the biscuits and malbec haven't gone to waste. Time for some lovely new clothes. But I hate shopping. And spending money. And lovely new clothes. Oh well, will have to lose that extra muscle. Maybe not have the second plate of chips. And have a trundle round the park occasionally. That should do it. Will try to add details onto wiki but may need help. Many thanks in advance.

After steadily dropping towards my target 80kg, then lockdown peaking at 90kg again I'm back below my starting weight again now.

doing 12 hour shifts, during lockdown I have been getting up an hour earlier and doing a 40 minute bike ride before work, but past few mornings its not been possible as the mornings are getting darker again. So really been watching my food. Looking forward to day off tomorrow so can get out on bike and cycle to the gym!

Thanks GloverMart - very prompt.

ben5575 - muscle weighs heavier as well - so double whammy - just adds to the challenge

I was up 0.5lb last Monday, forgot to update - so was at 19st 11.5lbs (125.8kg) as of the 10th.

However I seem to be up another couple of lbs again since my training session on Friday night - I think re-starting training and water retention in the heat has had an impact. My diet hasn't altered (and I've stuck with it for long enough and got the results to show that I'm not bullstting!) so they're the only other real variables I can think of. I've also been back in the office Tues/Weds/Thurs for the last couple of weeks so even changes to sleep pattern could be playing a part - I'm getting up about 90 mins earlier now than I had been for the previous 4 months..!

I'm just going to stick with controlling the diet, keep easing back into the training and track what happens. PT had me doing HIIT Friday night; I was fked by the end of it...!

Coronageddon hasn’t been kind to me. Looking to lose 10kg of what is, basically, all beer gut. Given myself a 2 month target to get to 80kg. For ‘fun’ I do ultra runs which are basically a long, mobile picnic but the extra weight is seriously detrimental.
Looks like my target was ‘ambitious’. However, I’m happy with 4kg dropped in month one. Stopped drinking booze, apart from one proper blowout day; sticking to a 1500kcal limit of grub every day; dropped carbs down to about 40g a day; and been doing weights, rather than just aerobic work. For the next month I’m going to keep the same diet and start back on the running (or at least walking!) and blow the dust off my rower.

As expected I was up 2lbs on Monday's weigh in - back to 19st 13.5lbs (126.8kg).

The annoying thing is that I seem to have aggravated my chest and shoulder with the training I did on Friday, been in quite a bit of pain whenever I move. I went into it with a bit of pain in my rib but chose to 'push through it' which evidently was the wrong thing to do. Keeping on track with diet, will see how it all pans out this week.
