Honesty check-in from me this week. Despite some minor activity - walks during the day mainly - I've let things slip on the food side somewhat. Haven't picked up any weights at all since the start of the lockdown (although the first week I was still letting my back have a moment to recover which it now has so I can't really use that as an excuse now).

Need to remember that yesterday's lapse doesn't mean today has to as well. Am finding it tougher being under lockdown with dark mornings and evenings book-ending wet and rainy days. Can't wait to get back to the gym, have realised how important it is to me for mental well-being as much as physical.

I keep reminding myself that I'm not in any rush, there's not an event or some such that I need to be in shape for and we are in unusual circumstances. Only another fortnight to go then I can get back in the gym...
A very pragmatic and honest assessment Funk, you've come so far and done so well that a small lapse like this insignificant in the scheme of things, the main thing is you are aware that for your own well being exercise is important to you!

Hit 14st 13 and 3/4 last Saturday but swung between that and 15 all week. Been hitting the Proform Cardio machine every day bar one, some days 20 mins some days 30 mins getting a good sweat on. Mixing some weights in there too especially on 20 min cardio days.

This morning saw 14 st 12 and 1/4.

Slowly but surely coming down.
Month on and have plateaued a little. I did see 14st 10 1/2 one day but have bounced between 14/11 and 14/13 for the last few weeks. Today am under 15st fully clothed and 14/11 (pants only) beginning to stick.

Lack of beer over last two weekends will have helped and I've bought a Proform 750 Rower as well so am mixing up my cardio.

Saw a friend yesterday who told me I had lost weight in my face, you look dead she said, which I am taking as a compliment biggrin

I've gained wait over the years as you do but have finally had enough of it. Worked out my RMR and now use that as my target calories for each day. I track these in MFP.

Have gone from 12st 11 to 12 stone 1 in about 5 weeks.

Cheers Chris, it does show how much things have changed in my head...

I just wish I had the space here to have a proper workout - I don't, and I use it as an excuse not to do something at least - I need to get into the mindset of 'something is better than nothing' somehow!

Trust me, as a lapsed gym goer that's the hardest mindset to get into, primarily because you don't have others around you doing the same thing, you have to find a way of making it a competition for yourself, having people about while you exercise is a great motivator, doing it by yourself must be a competition with yourself!!!

I need to give myself a kick up the arse this month I think.
I’m currently heavier than I was after Christmas last year, which is worrying me because we are very much before Christmas now!

I was doing fairly well until March, and then the gyms closed. And then my fridge and cupboards were never more than a few meters away. And I was BORED. So I did a lot of bored snacking.

Food became one of the few things to look forward to, plus a new relationship starting, meant that I no longer watched my calories, or thought about balanced meals, or tracked everything. Buying each other sweet treats, and cooking indulgent meals became the norm.

The residents gym in my complex has been shut since March and they are refusing to reopen it, which is very frustrating. Joined PureGym, and I forgot how hard it is to pick back up from square one again, but obviously that’s also closed at the moment.

Tried to get back into the diet over lockdown 2.0. But with most of my normal enjoyable activities curtailed by lockdown, I’m finding food is the last enjoyable thing I have, if I restrict that also, life is going to be pretty miserable.

I’ve been going on more walks, but have lost the enthusiasm to run with the darker hours and colder days.
Basically I think I just want a moan laugh I know what I have listed are all excuses that can be changed by just doing it, but finding it incredibly difficult to get the motivation!

I've let myself go!

Lockdown has been st. I had a good routine at the start of the year. Then Lockdown 1 happened. Kinda went downhill since then.

On the scales yesterday for the first time in months...137.6kg. Ouch. Poor scales!

Reinstalled MFP and adding everything to it. Drinking more water. Going to meal prep for work.

I'm going to eat 2,400 calories a day. This should see a 1kg a week loss.

My long term goal is 100kg. But in the meantime ill be aiming for 120kg, then 110kg.

I've become really lazy in Lockdown which is a shame. The last two weeks I've been on leave and struggled to get up before 2pm most days. Thursday will be fun when my alarms go off at 5.30...

Diet is going to be strict. No chocolate. No takeaways.

Chicken/fish and veg most days for dinner.

Scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast and need to find something for lunch. Doesn't help I'm a fussy eater. My swap breakfast for Weetabix and have the eggs for lunch. Be quicker in the morning.

When Lockdown ends im start back at the gym. Booked to see a PT as well. Going to aim for once a week with a PT and twice a week by myself. Throw in a couple of bike rides as well.

Anyone else worried about the Christmas period - I've always seen an uptick in weight which is to be expected but don't want to do too much damage this year!

The problem I have is that when I'm logging things on MFP it annoys my wife and once I've had a couple of glasses of wine/beer then all bets are off. Tricky one to balance because I still want to enjoy myself! I've got my Zwift setup this year so at least should be able to do a few rides indoors which don't take up too much time in the evenings or when the baby is napping!

Ah well, we shall see - commiserations to all those in England who have closed gyms and draconian lockdown measures - just keep moving!

Don't be too hard on yourself, many others are in the same boat, ahem!! whistle

I lost 5 stone in twelve months from July 2019 to July 2020 but then started a job at Sainsbury's with 3am starts and lost the will to go out for a walk during the day. Add in the fact that I was eating an extra meal a day & now, four and a bit months later, I'm three stone heavier.

Going to get Christmas out of the way then go again!

When I worked at Tesco I found it way to easy to snack during my break...bloody loads of sweets to pick from!

Diet is going well. Stuck under my calorie intake Monday and Tuesday.

I'm back to work tomorrow after two weeks leave. Hopefully I can resist the tuck shop! I've was posted to another station since September that didn't have a tuck shop (or if it did I didn't find it!).

Back to work and diet is going OK still!. Not perfect but still under my calorie intake.

Weigh day going forward will be when I do my first early shift (every ten days). However...currently 135.8. Down from 137.6 (off the top of my head).

Tomorrow is my first late shift back on response...its normally take away...im going to take food in first and hope I can stay strong!

Following a month of not seeing the scales move, this last week has been amazing. Down to 14st 7 this morning. That's a 4lb weight loss this week which I can only attribute to my body holding on to significant amounts of water.

Not overly worried as a lot of the Xmas work/friends meals are off and they really mess my food schedules up
