I have Coronavirus
Discussion
It’s a week since I tested negative. The lagging blocked nose has gradually got better across the week, as have the headache and the constant feeling of tiredness.
Generally feel pretty much back to normal now… except…
I did a couple of 30 min peloton classes over the weekend and I’m still 15-20% off my pre Covid output… along with a dry cough which only starts at high breathing rates.

Finally caught it 3 weeks ago after 2 years of at times, close contact for hours, with + pupils. I reckon it was from going to a rolladisco with my daughter.
Thought the aches were from an unfit guy doing skating for 4 hours. Didn’t improve and end of the week, every joint was aching. Teeth ached, etc.
Hit me on the Sunday night. In bed for 4 days. Cognitive function went to st.
But, very strange dreams. Anyone had the dreams?
Exactly the same regarding the cognitive function bit. It was very odd. My wife was asking me simple questions and I was just staring at her and struggling to respond! That happened over the 4 days I was in bed and feverish, but I continued to be 'mentally lethargic' (and physically tired out) for about another 4 or 5 days after I felt fine again.Thought the aches were from an unfit guy doing skating for 4 hours. My cough carried on for about 7 days after I recovered as well.
Seem totally fine now.
I tested positive this morning for the first time, complicated slightly as am on a high dose of an immune suppressant. Am surprised it took this long for me to get it, in all honesty.
Worse thing about it thus far is the general lethargy, I run 20-25 miles a week and am always on the move, am hoping I can get back to that soon.

It's among the symptoms tracked by the Zoe Covid study app, so I assume it's something that other people have reported.
Really? Didn't know that or heard of the app, very interesting - I'll have to have a look into that, thanks They've been doing a really effective job throughout the pandemic.
One of the symptoms they ask about is "Feeling down, depressed or hopeless". I'm pretty sure it's not in the top twenty most common symptoms though.
They put videos out on their YouTube channel and often list the top twenty symptoms that week.
I had a sore throat (and a rash!) for about 3 days. The rash really threw me off, as I would have expected the trad symptoms of the original Covid (loss of taste and coughing).
Eventually took a test on about day 4 - strongly positive.
Felt fluey and tired for about 2 days, then felt gradually better, finally testing negative about 10 days after the first symptoms.

So typically when to do the symptoms 'peak'?
Roughly how many days after first symptoms. Or does it vary greatly person to person?
Two days of fever then horrible sore throat for three days which eased on the fourth. Still testing positive but the line is much fainter today. Sense of taste weird though…some things like fruit is fine, but wine tasted awful when I sipped a little. Roughly how many days after first symptoms. Or does it vary greatly person to person?

I've finally caught it. Symptoms were very similar to when I had the jabs. Aching muscles, feeling progressively worse, cold shakes for a few hours, then red hot for a few more. Only difference was this time I felt a cold/sore throat coming on the night before.
I knew I had Covid as soon as the aching set in, and really knew once the cold shakes started.
I'd put the aching done initially to a busy day at work on Thursday when I'd done a fair amount of manual labour in the heat, and barely been off my feet from 8am to 2pm. Felt a sore throat that evening in bed. Friday I went to work but started feeling really crap and left early to go straight to bed from 4pm to 8pm. After that I got up and had some cereal and felt much better but still red hot. Still hot now.
I really shouldn't have gone to work. Was pretty useless as I could barely think straight in the afternoon.

I tested positive on Monday. I suspected I had it in March 2020 and its almost exactly the same (though there were no tests around then).
Spent 3 days in bed , just couldn't stay awake.. Body achey and first day had a bad headache. Slight cough, dizzy spells and light headedness throughout. It's only starting to wear off today (being the 4th day).
I'm double jabbed, but the second jab was over 10 months ago.
Horrible lurgy.

I felt "OK" after a week, by which time I tested negative..
But I still feel massively lethargic. Not sure if my lack of concentration is the old covid brain fog or just the lethargy.
Sinuses still feel bunged up and I still have the remnants of a cough, though it was never a dry cough, I was coughing up phlegm (and still am) - though having blocked sinuses for ages are a "thing" for me even after a cold.
Haven't been to the gym in all that time as I just don't feel I have the energy..
My wife also caught it last week.. She's bounced back much quicker, just a bit of tiredness in the mornings.. She had monster headaches for the first few days, which sounded much worse than mine, but recovery overall seems to have been faster for her.
Interestingly I'm double jabbed (albeit last jab was 10months ago) and she's not jabbed at all.

thats the same with our family. all bounced back within 24hrs. very mild. Interestingly I'm double jabbed (albeit last jab was 10months ago) and she's not jabbed at all.
Where as family friend jabbed up - keeps getting knocked off her feet and appears more susceptible.

There seems to be little rhyme or reason to how it impacts people.

Indeed. No jabs here and only knew I had it was after a positive test at a care home visit. Felt a bit tired for two afternoons out of the 7 days testing positive. That was it. Pre-pandemic I wouldn't have been tested and would have carried on as normal.
Biggest downer was missing out on a fun sounding day job at the London Stadium.
Spoke to my boss this morning to check when he expected me to return to work. I'm still testing positive this morning but feel more normal.
Turns out he's got it, another manager confirmed, and another suspected (testing this morning). This is great timing as we were approaching a big handover (construction project) end of this week!
Gone through the team like wild fire. Funny as I've worked in similar environments all the way through previous peaks, and never had the team wiped out like this.
