Always worth checking it out even if it is unlikely. Don't be put off by the primary care gauntlet. If you are polite and persistent in your agitations, you should be able to get what you need. Alternatively, you could expedite things with a private consultation for peace of mind.

Keep an eye out for certain things including but not limited deformation in the appearance of the breast, puckering of the skin and rubor (redness), as the development of these tumours is often associated with increased, site-specific vascularisation from the development of new vessels to supply the mass.

Let us know how you get on.

Hello, OP here.

Hopefully to ease folks minds about their lumps. Mine disappeared after a few weeks, it may have been a muscle tear. I would have liked access to a doctor or nurse at the time so if you are worried please persist in seeing someone.

I discovered a large ish lump in my right chest muscle about a decade ago. Did the usual research, no other warning signs etc, left it alone. Over the years it shrank and I really have to search to find a trace now. In the interim I had throat and mouth cancer, radiotherapy and a st ton of chemo...lump never budged an inch so I figured back then it wasn't serious. Also had numerous full body scans...seems that was one illness i managed to dodge biggrin
