No shortage of choice up to about £300 tops, any recommendations?

Heavy wheel, reasonably well built and quiet are the only real criteria, ie simple and solid is fine over features. Trouble is manufacturer's quickly load up features at the expense of quality, as consumers want more fiddly stuff for their money. I don't!

We got one last Sept - gumtree it had been used a handful of times new it was around the £300-400 territory but we paid £60.

So I’d consider this option first and not be too picky on types / brands. Save a £

The one we got replaced a rather tired one - which again we had bought second hand used it for years and years. Put our old one on free cycle

I’ve got one out of a spinning gym - it’s been heavily used but works perfectly.

Yours for nothing if you can pick it up from north London.

Great offer there OP.

If too far also look locally - sadly a number of Gyms have failed and are giving away/trying to get some £ for the kit. Clearly used but low price makes it a sensible option.

That is amazing! Thank you so much!

I am a distance away but will try and work something out, and I'll drop you a line soon.

No problem.

PM me - I’ll send you some pics just so you can see it - it has been used in a spin gym so isn’t in perfect shape.
