Came close to my limit yesterday. I need to work on my portion sizes.

Last early today. Told them at work I won’t be having a take away this week and two others have said they won’t either. One colleague is trying to shift some weight as well which helps.

Thankfully the one who always wants a takeaway who never puts any weight on is off this week!

My weight has always flip flopped around for the last 8 years. Can put on and lose 2 stone within a 6 month period easily without trying due to lifestyle. Being so tall you don’t really notice it.

However since the start of last year I gained 3 stone which hasn’t really gone anywhere due to complete lack of doing anything for 15 months while eating cakes.

Eating a single steak (with nothing else) for dinner as my only meal till it’s gone. Day 3 currently and it seems pretty easy so far. Will do a end of week weigh in and see how it has worked.

Was just shy of 18 stone at 6’4” so goal is back to 15 stone, kind of hoping to get it done within 2 months maximum.

Earlies done and avoided the tuck shop again!

Fish for dinner tonight. Breaded fish so not the best but I need something easy as I fall asleep early after an early shift. Some spuds and peas as well.

Forgot to take my lunch in again today which isn’t ideal! Picked some chicken up to cook before work tomorrow to take in for dinner.

Trying to decide what to have for lunch today. I woke up later and had breakfast at 11ish. I start work at 3pm.

I’m going to aim to eat dinner at 7ish (finish at midnight). Dinner has been cooked and just waiting for it to cool down.

Chicken in some Nando’s sauce thing. Grab a tub of veg at Tesco on the way and that should be enough.

Shift work must be tough for dieting!. Am lucky am WFH and have been since last March permanently. Makes a nice change from a pret sandwich on the go.

It’s a nightmare. I’ve put 2 and a half stone on since I started shift work December 2019.

That coupled with I never know when I’m actually going to eat it’s a ball ache. Today it wasn’t until nearly 9pm. Love my job though.

Today went well. Did have some white chocolate cheesecake that someone local made for us. fk me it was amazing! Thankfully it was already cut into portions. Only about an inch wide at the biggest.

Tomorrow (well today now) the rest of the squad are getting kebabs...going to stay strong and have my chicken and veg!

Well very happy bunny today, weigh in day. Down 1.3kg this week. So lost 7kg exactly since Jan 1.
Been walking around 30-45 minutes a day & had fish of some sort instead of cooked meats with my salad. Looks like MFP is bang on the money, I need to be on under 1500Calories to lose weight.
Once everything is back to normal will need to renew my Class 2 medical to continue flying lessons & the CAA frown on BMIs over 35! So that should keep them & the AME happy.

Is it to late to join?

I have started being more mindful of portion sizes and food types as well as trying to be more active. This has been trigger by weighting myself and finding i weighted 24st 4lbs!!! (6ft tall) ex rugby player.

Not sure cheesecake is ever a great idea if trying to lose a few pounds.

Of course not, get your details entered here, or post your stats for someone else to help you do it.

It probably isn’t, but as long as I stay under my calorie goal I’m happy. I’m not fussed about making sure I have so much fat, carbs and protein etc.

That being said. I did have a take away last night. It was manic at work (out the door before I started). Fight in custody, back for paperwork and out for another fight and then a trip to hospital with someone who doesn’t like us. Mentally drained and hangery on the drive home.

Most likely over the 1,200 calories I had left but fk it was nice.

I’m off until next Saturday and I’ll weigh myself during the week smile.

Despite having a spinal injury and on the list for surgery for the last year and a half I've lost and gained despite the fact I can't lift much weight, can't walk at normal speed or very far and I'm not allowed anywhere near a gym.

I'm 33 and just over 6'2 so can carry weight quite well but went from just off 20st this time last year to about 16st in August/Sept. Then up to Xmas I was about 18st 5.

Weighed myself in Feb and was 19st 10. Now yesterday I weight myself and I'm 18.5 st again and feel lighter.

I have done absolutely nothing, no sport, no lifting , no calorie counting. All I seemed to be doing differently was drinking a lot of water and low calorie squash. During the Summer last year I was drinking a lot and pissing like fountain and the weight was falling off, almost a stone in a week. Thought I might have been diabetic but test showed I wasn't.

When I look at myself the only part of me that's fat is a bit of my stomach. Legs and arms are fairly lean probably kept a bit of muscle from my rugby days. Strange really because between the age 16 -30 I was almost a constant 16st and it never changed and I used to eat a lot of st and play a lot of sport. Even when I played Sunday league for 2-3 hours and about 1-2 time training during the week my weight never dropped below 16st.

Down to 68.9 but the spare tyre is proving troublesome to shift. Granted it’s smaller now but the paunch still remains.

Have started doing some resistance workouts to see if that helps

An OK day today. Steak for dinner (well it would be rude not to seeing what day it is!) and a few chips. Didn’t have lunch today as had a late breakfast.

Got the week off and my girlfriend is working so going to get a few bike rides hopefully. Or some walks smile.

Thanks Worsy and tr7v8

I have added my details to the table.

I have been over weight since childhood but in recent years it has gone from being over weight to being a massive fatty.

When I weight myself on Sunday last week it was the heaviest I have ever been! 24st4lb!! I decided to make an immediate change and have cut out all picking at food (I was terrible to picking at food as I dished the kids dinner up) and make a choice to stop overloading my plate with food.

I have just bought an Echelon spin bike an so far have done three of the beginner sessions.

These changes have led to an 8.8lb loss in the first week so I'm happy with that. I'm hoping to lose about 4lbs a week and my first goal is 20st and then we will se where we go from there although I know I will need to drop well below that in order to be healthy.

Looking forward to keeping you guys updated with my progress as well as seeing your progress too.

Brilliant, well done. 4lbs a week loss is just what you should aim at. The key (from experience) is not to eat back the calories you burn on the bike.
