Passed!

Group was split into two groups. Those who needed to go to a higher level and those that just needed the basic level.

They needed some extras to join the group running higher. Decided to join their group in the hope that if I kept up with them I’ll be good!

It worked! Although breathing out my arse. Annoying as I’ve been able to do longer on the treadmill.

Done for another year but will keep the gym up!

Can I sign up late? I'm cutting towards making weight for a Jiu Jitsu competition in November, I was on the 2020 one then Covid happened.

Thought I'd jump in on this and share abit of my progress! Good to have some collective support and ideas.

Years of poor eating and lack of exercise resulted in a peak weight of nearing 150kg in mid 2020. I'm 6ft and 30 for reference. Covid and lockdown times may have been a curse but it got me out of a toxic relationship and set me on a path to sorting myself out.

Had a few months between August to December, not deliberately doing anything different just settling into single life and the weight began to drop. Started to track it in December and this is the result so far.

Havent strictly dieted, but I'm now in control of my own meals and eating better for it while still indulging here and there. Really got into walking during lockdown and that hasnt stopped. Always hit 10k steps per day absolute minimum.

Still striving to lose more, the loss has slowed down now but still dropping. Feel great in myself, no suprise I'm carrying 40kg less!

Never thought I'd be able to lose my weight as it's always been excessive, but here we are and I'm not done yet!

Fantastic stuff, well done. clap

(I had to convert it back into old money to be really impressed, mind. hehe but that's more than six stone which in any timescale is very impressive, but in yours, it's outstanding! )

Well done to everyone. I'm still ticking along, stable but no longer losing. However, have the added motivation of a few more running races booked in for which I need to lose some timber and then my wedding next May. I'd quite like to look at the photos and be happy with how I look. Not necessarily a healthy personal state, but there we go - it's my wedding - feeling good is great, but enjoying the photos without looking at a double chin would be nice in ten years.

Gone a bit quiet here but I'm grateful to be part of this because it's keeping me focused throughout the year.

Finally starting to see things trending as I wanted them to after having a new baby in May, a house move in July and then COVID in August:

Nothing on some of you guys but I'm feeling good and it's helping my cycling & running!

I've gone from about 13st at the start of the year to 11st 4lb now. Mostly through a slightly better diet through portion control. Having overnight oats for breakfast, but taking them to work and eating at 8am rather than at 6am before work means I'm less hungry through the day and so don't snack.

I've also upped the exercise, fast walk / jog one day, core the next and chest and arms on day three, twice a week with a rest day.
After posting that back in August, I've been to Carfest and on holiday, up to 11st 8lb and now back down to 11st 2lb.

I do want to lose about another half stone, but may not get there due to muscle mass increasing....

and slightly too many desserts...

8 weeks in and i have lost a total of 10lbs through diet and training 3 times a week.

I have around another 25-28lbs to lose to get to my beach ready composition.. Hopefully that is achievable by next may/june.

Challenging at times with broken sleep due to a young son but the journey is well and truly underway.. My fat loss is coming off evenly at the moment and not off of any specific body area so composition hasnt changed much yet.

Good luck everyone, keep chipping away !

The Mrs and I have joined a local gym's 6 Week Transformation course. Not so much because either of us believe miracles will happen in six weeks, but because it was something we were both keen on and it means the home food situation is easier as we're both on the same nutrition guidance. What's nice is it's based on Often Eaten, Occasionally Eaten and Rarely Eaten foods, so nothing's off limits, just abide by general rules.

We get four classes a week and the nutritional side and I must say as I end week two, I do feel much better. Weight is slowly coming down, but I reckon I could get below 80kg by Christmas. Starting the PH Losers 2022 thread at a 7x weight would be great as it's been a struggle this year for one thing and another and to be honest just maintaining and then losing a bit is a win.

Hit 80.0 Sunday, think I was 90.1 at the start of lockdown.

I need to be under 82.3kg on Saturday for a BJJ comp including gear, gear ways 1.8kg so I'm there now, gonna drop into the 79's just to be sure.

I'm still doing "Sober October" as well till 27th if anybody wants to chuck me a few quid.

Somehow managed to loose 11.5lb this week. I’m a carb muncher and have no time for sweets / chocolate, so had a very carb limited week with a lot of protein and a handful of good fats. Seems to work.

Lost another 6lb the last 2 weeks. Not bad considering I didn’t have the best weekends food / drink wise.

Good effort! I'm still over my January starting weight so hoping to be good for a few weeks before the inevitable Christmas over-indulgence!

I made it to my weight for my BJJ comps, 79.8 on both days. had to be under 82.3 with equipment. Think I'm back up at about 80.5 now.
