Cheers for all the replies, it so it seems the tablets maybe shouldn't make me feel cold but I'm sure they do.
I'm sure they do too.

I'm one of those 'wear shorts year round' idiots, never got cold but since the beta blockers I seem to be getting colder and colder.

My doc warned me it was a side effect, especially on my hands and feet.

I'm sure there's a reason old people's homes are as hot as a sauna. And any hotel with a coach outside will be tropical the moment you walk in the door.

I take 10mg Amlodipine and 1.25mg Bisoprolol daily, and never felt cold with them.

I'm on Pembrolizumab immunotherapy too but I don't know if that's relevant.

I can relate to the OP's situation. Was getting 2-3 migraines a week (always Saturday morning without fail) and thought it was eyes/driving and general work stress. Turns out I too was a case of high blood pressure, scoring a best of 266/136. Been on ramipil 10mg and Felodepine 2.5mg since (6 years) and only had a few migraines since, they stopped overnight.

I do feel the cold more so now, but was almost immune to the cold before, but I put that down to age now.

OP, did you ever find out why yours was high?

I never got a reason why it was so high, the doctor said it can be just down to genetics. He said he sees loads of thin people with high blood pressure and just as many fat people with normal blood pressure but you would think the opposite was true.

It was definitely a long term thing for me though, I've had headaches for years and they stopped overnight as soon as I started on the tablets. I do remember though probably 20 years ago now I went to the doctor about a dodgy knee and the first thing they did was a medical and she commented that my blood pressure was quite high but never told me the pressure reading.

Being young and indestructible I said I wasn't really interested as I didn't want to be on any sort of medication at that age. When I was sorting out my tablets for this a couple of years ago I asked her if that old reading was still on file and it was, it was 220 over something or other. So for at least the last 20 years before getting it sorted I had quite high blood pressure.
