I've kept following this thread even though I had my two Pfizer on 3/2 and 3/3, neither causing any discomfort other than feeling I had a slight bruise on my arm after the second one, but that could have been just the way the jab was given. Now I'm 75 and I have, like many people, discussed the side effects with friends and so many of the reactions reported are rather alien to most of us. Is it worse as the vaccine is given to younger and younger people? SWMBO felt groggy for a day or so after the AZ (she is ten years younger than I), but suffered no side effects after the second dose. My daughters, aged 45 and 43 seem not to have suffered either, both having had the AZ. Obviously and naturally this thread reveals those who have suffered rather than those who haven't but is there research on the degree of suffering according to age?

Yes, generally it effects younger people more.

To get symptoms about 1 week after a vaccine is very unlikely though. Inflammatory effects from your immune system would typically peak 24-48 hours, not 7 days....

Who knows.
The deaths that have been attributed to the OAZ vaccine have all occurred between 6 and 28 days after the jab, as far as I’m aware.
How many deaths have been attributed to the OAZ vaccine and source of the number?

Yep, I'd like to see this too.

Feeling a lot better today, not fully 100% but hopefully that’s it now.

9 suspected ( or 10 now apparently) in Germany.

And 23 suspect incidents in Norway.

None of these deaths are as yet attributable to the vaccine.

So zero deaths attributable to the OAZ vaccine and no mention of anything happening between 6 and 28 days after the jab.

You're just making stuff up. Did you use that as an excuse for a day off work with back ache or are you another anti-vaxxer?

“As yet”. There’s no smoke without fire, I believe it’s a case of when, not if, the links are confirmed.

There’s plenty of stuff out there about the 6-28 day time scales, do your own homework. I didn’t take any time off, because it happened at the weekend. I’m not an anti vaxxer, I just don’t like being jabbed with an experimental vaccine that has potentially pretty serious side effects, without being paid for it.

Well, we need to wait until further data are in. 'Believing' anything at this point is not a scientific way to be approaching the situation.

Have you read those? 23 deaths in frail elderly people..... Erm, frail elderly people could die of anything at any time. Not saying it ISN'T the vaccine, but certainly not a definite.

The clotting thing is well out of proportion. People happily fly on a plane or take the contraceptive pill which have higher risks.

And if they are, then what?

30-odd cases out of what, 100 million doses given so far? I'll take those odds even if I'm a factor 10 out both ways.

Its not my homework - you made the claim. I can guess what sort of websites "out there" you visit.

And not an "experimental vaccine" either.

Thanks for confirming your anti-vaxxer status.

What would sate your fury, burn him at the stake?

Or would a bit of pointy finger stuff suffice?

Vague attempt to keep this on track

26 hours in with Moderna

Arm pain has increased but not too bad at all, continue to feel a bit grotty/shivery but again nothing to really write home about, if this is the worst it gets I'll be well chuffed

To anyone who isn't or doesn't want the vaccine could I suggest one of the numerous threads and leave this to people who may be interested in the side effects people are experiencing

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd just like for everyone to sincerely try to be honest. So saying stuff like 'The deaths that have been attributed to the OAZ vaccine' is alarmist, misleading and unhelpful.

Are you suggesting there haven't been any deaths attributed to the OAZ vaccine?

I think he's suggesting we need to keep an open mind. For example, "xyz number of frail elderly people have died soon after having the vaccine" well....frail elderly people die every day without having the vaccine. Another thing.....approx 20 people have died from a blood clot having recently had the vaccine out of well over 20 million doses given.....what are the typical odds of getting a clot ANYWAY? Probably not far off 1 per million, and therefore how can one be sure it was the vaccine that caused those deaths? If it was the vaccine, why are those odds SO low?

Has the vaccine caused any deaths? Possibly, but not necessarily definitely.
