Had Oxford AstraZeneca jab yesterday afternoon at 17:30. Arm a bit sore. I woke up today at 03:30 with a thumping headache and severe shivering to the point I struggling to take painkillers and drink the water.
Back to bed for a few hours but still feeling quite rough with flu symptoms though shivering has stopped and not feeling as bad as first thing. No way I could work today.
40, pretty fit with gym and running and healthy diet, don’t drink blah blah. I’m very stressed at work at the moment so I wonder if that is a factor on how you react.
Had mine yesterday morning, then went straight to work. Started going downhill at five in the afternoon, in bed by eight, shivering and sweating, no headache, but my major joints were aching like buggery. I sacked off the seven o’clock start this morning, and strolled in at ten instead. Felt back to normal by mid afternoon.Back to bed for a few hours but still feeling quite rough with flu symptoms though shivering has stopped and not feeling as bad as first thing. I’m a fell running forty nine year old, and I am not stressed at work.

Further update - started feeling worse yesterday evening, nausea and headache leading to vomiting. Managed to eat a slice of toast and went to bed.Back to bed for a few hours but still feeling quite rough with flu symptoms though shivering has stopped and not feeling as bad as first thing. A bit tired today but feeling much better. Will attempt a few hours at work.
Had AZ at 10:30 on Thursday, by around 20:00 had a very foggy head, temperature and a bit achy.
Things got much worse overnight and spent yesterday feeling terrible.
Aching all over, joints very painful, boiling hot then freezing cold, so tired turning over in bed was an effort, resting heart rate above 110 and horrible confusion. Nausea and diaorrhea later in the day. Weird hot spots of tingling pain around the massage trigger points in my calves and trapezius muscles, like there was heated up popping candy instead of blood. Random stabbing pains all over, like really bad muscle cramp but deeper if that makes sense.
This morning still achy and tired but temp is normal and the rest seems to have gone.
I'm 45, regularly work out and cycle reasonable distances. So far as I know haven't had so much as a cold in the last 12 months let alone Covid.
Prior to having it I thought the under 60s thing was overblown but now not so sure. Especially given that the average age for CVST is 47 and research shows effacacy for AZ increases with age.
The news that AZ is the major driver for FTSE100 rebound and that CVST are increasing rapidly as the 40+ rollout begins makes me wonder if we are being given an inappropriate vaccine purely to bolster the markets.

Sorry to hear that Herr, I'm a couple of years older than you and fairly fit and strong but carrying more weight than I should be. I had my first AZ jab on Tuesday and have only had the usual sore arm which feels no worse than I'd get from any other injection.
Hope you're feeling much better soon.

I'm in the Novavax trial, I had two jobs last year and was completely fine, no side effects.
Then in March this year they announced everyone would be getting the opposite of whatever jab they had previously; so if you had the placebo you'd get the vaccine this time and vice versa. This was to ensure everyone in the trial got vaccinated.
I had my first 'alternate' jab again 3 weeks ago and was fine, then yesterday I had the second jab. This time I ended up with a really sore arm, a bit of a headache and muscle aches and joint pain.

Im 36 and had the AZ vaccine yesterday at 1.30pm.
At 8.30pm I was half way though my dinner then suddenly lost the will to eat. From there I was on the sofa shivering in 3 blankets whilst feeling like I had full on flu. Bizarre how quickly it came on.
I don't feel as bad as yesterday today but I do feel like I've got a horrendous hangover and have no energy.

I had my first moderna jab on Wednesday. Big night sweats Wednesday night and a sore injection point on Thursday. That was it for me. A mate of mine had the AZ jab on the same day and ended up in hospital with blurred vision and crippling spine pain. He'd actually called 111 for advice and they sent an ambulance anyway.
I'm in my early 50s. Had the OAZ jab (weeks ago now) and went on a cycle ride. 24 hours later, after another bike ride I felt a bit tired so went to bed early. Woke up next morning and was fine enough to go out riding again.
So, no effects for me.
My late-40s brother and mid-70s mother were both laid flat out with it for a few days. In fact, so we're most of my colleagues - ages from mine down to mid-30s.
It seems a bit random.

Well, I think the vaccine yesterday may have effected me ever so slightly. Just went for a 9km run and HR marginally higher than usual (that said, it's also a lot warmer). Certainly didn't feel rubbish though.
Hope everyone who does have side effects gets over them quickly! Must admit it's nice to think that in another 1-2 weeks time I should be very well protected.
