Sounds a lot like '60' if you don't mind me saying.
PH's could do with a helpful sexual health thread...
Really? I was hoping to be a bedroom hero well into my 70s!PH's could do with a helpful sexual health thread...
I am quite fit and go to the gym five times per week. Three days weights, one day steady state cardio and one of HIIT.
Though the excess fat I carry won’t shift unless I eat and train like I am in the olympics, I am not a beer swilling chip muncher.

It does sound like you’ll benefit from testosterone replacement therapy.

A bit of aggression, maybe spots. I didn’t get on with the 12 week regime, found daily gel worked better.
Hit the gym
Did it help with brain fog? Always suffered with brain fog but can't work out if related to low T or the low dosage of Sertraline I take??Hit the gym
I had my levels checked recently as part of some other tests. It came back at 12.2nmol/L which the GP said was low, but not low enough for the NHS to do anything about it. Looking at the results sheet, I see they regard normal range as 8.3 to 30.2 - I'm 47.
As this thread is huge, I can't plough through all of it, so does this sound like it's worth getting addressed privately? A number of the symptoms of low testosterone would seem to apply to me.

Pay for a venous Medichecks test. They have a 20% off Spring sale at the moment. A total testosterone level on its own is not the full picture so this will give a broader view hormone wise.As this thread is huge, I can't plough through all of it, so does this sound like it's worth getting addressed privately? If nothing else it gives you a baseline for the future so is well worth the investment.

After months of feeling randomly fatigued, brain fog, low drive/motivation etc I pushed my GP to run a load of tests. Despite running pretty much every other blood test, they refused to test for testosterone despite me saying low T actually aligned well with my symptoms so I did the Medicheck test. Best £80 I've spent as it turns out my levels are appalling:https://www.medichecks.com/products/male-hormone-c...

I've sent the report to my GP and they're going to give me a call back to discuss how we set about sorting this.

My advice.Phone your GP back and cancel the appointment. After that immediately phone the Leger clinic, Mens Health Clinic or some other legitimate provider. The two mentioned are well established and have generally good reputations. You will be in good hands either way.
If those levels are anywhere near representative then you have a life changing experience coming up in your near future.

Did you get a proper blood test and not the fingerprick one as that can be unreliable, did you also get it done at the correct time of day ie. Early morning? I've sent the report to my GP and they're going to give me a call back to discuss how we set about sorting this.
If you did then those numbers are very low. I'd echo 272bhp's comments about not even wasting your time with the NHS and just going straight to one of the reputable private clinics he mentioned.

Sod paying £30-50 a month for TRT for the rest of my life privately when I can get it for free from the NHS....however be prepared for a LONG wait....from referral to getting TRT it has took over 1 year.

His case needs some investigation as his LH and FSH are in range but other markers are all over the place. I would be concerned that simple testosterone therapy could cause other issues given that he has high Oestradiol combined with a very low Testosterone level. He will simply get a more professional diagnosis and appropriate treatment from the private clinics. He will not get that from the NHS cookie cutter approach to male hormone replacement therapy.
I will echo Brownbottles concerns about the type of test the poster took and what time it what taken. That could go some way to explaining some of those curious levels.

Wow your T levels are dangerously low.....mine was 6nmol and was seen as very low. Low enough to be referred by my doctor to an hospital where I'm now on TRT via the NHS.

Plus, £30-50pm? You’ll be lucky.

Lucky to get it for £30-50pm? How much you pay then? When I looked previously I'm sure the Ledger was around £30-40 p/m
I've just ordered a test, morbid curiosity more than anything else but I do often feel fked/lacking energy/strength these days. I'm only mid 30s but every time I go to the gym I've got nothing in the tank. Could well be my diet.
I can muster the energy to do stuff I want to do to be fair.. any sort of workout with no overall goal just feels like a huge chore to me. Like I could cycle somewhere and back, but tell me to go do a few K on a treadmill or do some sets of weights and I feel weak and devoid of any "go".
