No movement from me at all this week. 95.4kg.

Not ideal really but I'll take it. It was my birthday on Wednesday and went out for a meal and went to a local micro-brewery afterwards.

Wednesday was nearly 3.5k calories.
94.4today.

Think my body is on a 10day cycle or something. 7 days remain, 3 days loss.

Anyway, it marks a full 3 stone loss to today. -19.2kg from peak chonk.

Xmas is going to be a massive test for everyone, don't get distracted by exercise - no amount of it helps with weight loss. It's not eating like a pig that matters the most.
The Christmas period will be tough. But remember, 1 day of gluttony doesn't make you a fatty. Just like 1 day of fasting doesn't make you thin.

The trouble is continued gluttony mixed with a sedentary lifestyle, it's a slippery slope!

Not weighed in for a couple of weeks - good news the recent weight gain has stopped.

Start weight 89.1kg, current weight 81.5kg

If I can maintain around this mark I’ll be happy as I’m eating c3000 calories a day compared to 1800 when dropping weight. Energy levels and strength are much better though I don’t look as good.

Great to hear you've reached your goal, CAH706! Nicely done. clap

Only a tiny movement for me this week - 83.4 to 83.2. Getting chuffin hard to make any progress at these lower weights. frown

94.1kg today. -1.3kg from the same time last week, but previous week was diddly squat. I've certainly noticed that my weight loss is reducing.

In the last 6wks I've started a new job which is on site. Not only have I noticed myself substantially hungrier, I'm also moving less. Add to that the winter desire to consume more mulled wine, hot toddies, roasted nuts, and mince pies.

Prior i was working at home 100% and in between meetings I used to do a set of 10 curls or squats or whatever. Doesn't sound like much, but over the course of a day you rack up 50reps of curls, press ups and squats without even thinking.

Well dome sir. clap Anything showing over 1kg in a week puts a smile on your face. I'm struggling to strike a balance between getting enough protein into me so I can kettlebell with some strength vs. keeping the weight loss train rolling. Losing 6.2 kg in now just 5 weeks is starting to look unlikely unless I postpone my kettlebelling which I don't want to do.

I have three targets.
The first one was the most extreme but I managed to hit that. I also had the most fat to lose though so arguably that's the easiest.

Next up is be <25BMI by Christmas, which I'm on target for. <93KG

Then finally is -25% overall weight by easter 2023.

To date I'm -19.5kgs from start point.

You have done amazing with the weight loss. I’m sure a slower loss for now but increased strength/muscle mass is better than just pushing to hit a weight target

You will end up in a far better place if you gradually adjust the exercise/diet balance …. Though mentally you may just want to crack the weight first

Good luck and keep at the kettlebells - a great piece of kit

Thanks CAH smile. Bad news to report today. Didn't use the KB yesterday but somehow I'm in absolutely agony today on my left shoulder blade on my back/behind my left armpit. Can't move my left arm into any position without it jarring and me bouncing off the ceiling in pain. Can't lay down, sit down, stand up or walk anywhere without same happening. FML as the kids would say. Shovelling in 500mg paracetamols as fast as I dare. RIP! frown

You must feel great! Good work, the only down side I've noticed is the cold feels far more cold......not a bad thing to worry about versus been a bit more chubby.

Thanks. It's interesting. Silly things like running up and down the stairs and getting on/off the floor are certainly far less labourous but apart from looking a bit slimmer and feeling a bit fitter, I wouldn't have said it feels like I'm hauling 20kg less everywhere.

I kinda wish I'd taken a before photo, but I didn't.

Finally my weight has moved in the right direction, after weeks of disciplined behaviour. Been strictly eating OMAD, keeping the calories right, off the booze, gym and/or swim 5 times a week, finally lost 1kg. Frustrating to see zero progress in the interim. My scales tell me I'm still at the "no coach parties please" stage of body mass, but hopefully this will help me shed a few kgs. Finding the OMAD routine very easy, not been feeling hungry or prone to temptation in between times.

I hit 93kg on the nose yesterday morning (25BMI)....

Then went out and blew it away last night with pizza, a cider and some wedges. 93.7kg this morning but I'm so full still that I can't see me eating anything till this evening. In the "before times" I would've polished it off without breaking a sweat so it's good that my stomach appears to be shrinking a bit in line with my anticipated meal sizes.

400g down since the same time last week. Would've been 1.1kg if I wasn't a doobus last night.

If I can lose a few kgs this side of Christmas I'll be happy if I make it into the new year at 93kg as I'm bound to put a KG or two on over the Christmas break.

R3G - you found a balance between sustenance and Kettle bell yet?

How the rest of y'all doing?

A late check in at this end and surprised not to have found myself on the wall of shame on the wiki.
It’s not been the year I’d set out for, starting at 107, down to 103 and staying around there into May, now floating back around the 105 mark.
I’m currently completing couch to 5k as whilst I know weight is lost in the kitchen, unless I have a focus on exercise goals I don’t pay any attention to what I’m eating. I might not be where I’d have liked to have been this year, but setting myself up for a stronger start in 2023 so at least I’ll be a step ahead.
Well done to the losers, some cracking results being posted!

Weighed in today and up another 1kg

In old money I’m back over 13 stone now. Started the year at 14 stone, dropped to under 12 stone which was too light to maintain and since June have put the weight on

I’m still a bit conflicted on what to do as my gym work is going great…I am at a weight now though where if I go heavier I’ll start to look too chubby!

Off to the pub this afternoon to think things over smile

Pizza and potato acts like a massive sponge inside you. That would have been an instant 2+ kg increase in weight for me.

83.2 for me last week, 81.9 for me this week, putting me into the 12 stone club at last (12st 12) and 26 kg total loss since April smile .

I really did my shoulder/back some grief with that kettlebell and I've been in a lot of pain from it, but the injury seems to have mostly healed itself now so I'll be restarting work this weekend with a low weight. Still been doing my goblin squats every day biggrin .

Keep pecking away, chaps.

I have to admit the dark nights, boredom, I am stuffing my face at night, really hard. Any tips?
A few ideas:
1. Don't buy the unhealthy snacks in the first place.
2. Don't go food shopping when you're hungry.
3. Eat a piece of fruit, chopped up carrot or something instead of unhealthy snacks.
4. Try to do something engaging so that your brain has less time to think about food.

It’s keeping my hands out of the fridge that is the issue smile
