Late entrant…
Weigh in on Saturday was 117.1kg…
Would love to get my BMI down to 25, but that means getting to 90kg.. I’ve been floating around 120 for the last 20 years, got down to 108 when I got married 4 years ago but only kept it there for a few months. My blood pressure is abovee normal as well and I’d like to get that into the green over the next 6 months through diet, exercise, weight loss, rather than having to go on drugs. Mid fourties now and that invincible outlook to life is starting to disappear
Diet is my issue…. It’s good but I eat too much. On top of exercise with a home gym and 2 dogs to walk.
Nope you are not late, you arrived exactly when you wanted to (what film is that from...?)Weigh in on Saturday was 117.1kg…

Right you lard arses, take this seriously or not at all. You can put a banana in your porridge, that's good. Slow release energy. But get a grip! You REALLY DON'T NEED CHOCOLATE SPREAD as well.
Stop cheating. As they used to say in school, you're only wasting your own time.
You need some will power here. I've just been out for a drive with the roof down. I've come in dying for a cup of tea and a mountain of biscuits. So I'm having a cup of tea. ON. IT'S. OWN.
Treats in moderation are good though, makes a boring life better. Stop cheating. As they used to say in school, you're only wasting your own time.

I had a chocolate bar earlier. Normally I would have three or four.
Just prepared my dinner for the next two days.
Chicken and some peas. Need to get something to go with it as the spuds I had planned to have weren’t looking their best! Will properly get some microwave rice when at work.
Actually proud of myself that I managed to avoid the tuck shop at work other than one small (97 calories) chocolate bar. All logged on MFP and will still be under my total target for the day.
Dinner is sausages, mash and peas.
I've reduced portion size for dinner eat more fruit today and had a healthier breakfast also haven't had a single chocolate bar or biscuit in 2 days also no sweets or fizzy pop. Will get out on the weekend a nice morning walk rather than a lazy lie in and will weigh in the evening. Also going to go swimming once a week after work next week.
With being back in work this week I burn a lot of energy during the day also do plenty of steps so all will add up hopefully.
This thread probably isn't for you if you go to the gym for two hours three times a week and swim on alternate days and want to lose half a kilo. Most of us on here are lazy fat b-stards and need the motivation and grief when we admit to eating crap.

Time to get my excuses in early....
From prior experience, I know that any new year weight loss I have tried before starts off well and is then knocked easily off course. And, before I know it (and to borrow a phrase from up thread^^^) I';m back to eating like a Roman Emperor on a binge.
So I've deliberately not started anything before I have my head straight.
And then it got a bit weird.... Losing weight is my top personal goal for 2022. I started to try to visualise what success would look like (less of me), what might stand in my way (my wife ) and how I might do it (er, eat less).
So basically, I haven't started and already feel guilty for failing my future self....
its all about baby steps. It doesnt matter if those steps only include posting here. Some good starts chaps! Little steps to start with.
Don’t beat yourselves up if it’s not as much as you’d hoped, this is just the beginning.
Keep it up fatties.
It is very much the beginning. Remember some of this will be water weight, so first thing on a Saturday morning should give you a consistent weight chart. Your weight will fluctuate throughout the date, how you feel is a much better indicator. Don’t beat yourselves up if it’s not as much as you’d hoped, this is just the beginning.
Keep it up fatties.
Good work chumps

144.9 up 0.2 to 145.1kg today... I have done a minimum 5 miles cycling a day for the past week. So I'll blame that... And the massive Indian takeaway and 2 bottles off red last night.
Do you want to lose weight?FFS! Exercise a bit of self control. Any need of a huge Indian takeaway? Any need of the wine, let alone two bottles?
i had an indian last night, i found him in the cupboard. A little one.

I'm a little late to the party but I'll join in as well!
Started a new job 18 months ago. Stopped cycling, drank more, put on 15kg.
I've like to get back down to the 75kg I was 18 months ago.
Good first week, but went to the pub and had indian food yesterday. Have gone on a couple of bike rides this weekend so think I've earnt my beer and bbq today.
I'm using weight watchers (6 months for price of 3), just the app, as have had good results with it before.

Is the wiki going to be ruthless and separate those who update Vs those who don't, like last year's?
I hope so. If you don’t update, you're not taking part.

Am I too late to join? I would have done it earlier but a death in the family and loads of other ste going wrong means I've not really got around to it for now.
I'm currently 15st9 (99.3 kg).
Bad habits leading up to Xmas were too many takeaways, too much chocolate and crisps and drinking beer and wine every night.
Not aiming to do anything too radical. Monday to Thursday will be booze free. No more takeaways, and cut down on the treats. Drink more water. I'm not doing any fad diet because it's not sustainable.
Exercise will be daily walks, some basic weight training with dumbbells in the house and doing some exercise 'snacking' to counter the effects of WFH.
Realistically if I could get down to around 80kg that would be probably be good enough.
I'll only be weighing in once a month as in the past I found that in the past weighing myself once a week could be demotivating if I didn't get the result I wanted. At least once per month can show you if you're broadly on the right track over an extended period.
