looks like the jabs worked well for most people with the amount catching it.
Why such a sarcastic post in a thread where people are discussing their illness? You have no idea of the vaccination status of most of the posters in here.I had all the jabs until this year. Previously caught covid and experienced mild symptoms only.
This year I didn’t get the covid booster jab.
Caught Covid in January and have been in and out of hospital with breathing difficulties and a racing heart. Latest hospital stay only ended yesterday. I am still off work and finding breathing to be hard.
I now wish I had the booster jab in Autumn when it was offered to me.

There does seem to be another one floating about at the minute - me and the wife have had it for a week or so now. Not feeling especially ill but a fairly unpleasant hacking cough that seems particularly stubborn.
I have this. Caught COVID for the first time mid-December and cough has recently got worse. XRAY shows no nasties or infection. Dr brushed it off as ‘long COVID’.Edited by JFReturns on Wednesday 7th February 17:36
Was in Rome over the weekend (home Monday night) and Tuesday morning woke with the first signs of ‘something’
Being self employed I obviously went to work, but today had to come home at lunchtime.
Can’t ever remember feeling this bad - when I I’m upright it’s like I’m having out of body type episodes, like it’s not real.
Hacking cough and very sore chest but eveytime I cough it feels like I’ve got barbed wire in my throat.
Every joint aching and a banging head.
It seems the last four times I’ve been on a ‘plane I catch something.
Need to up the immune system

Two days ago our 32-year old daughter (who is a teacher) was given antibiotics for what the doc thought might be pneumonia. After a brief rally on the first dose of tabs she's gone downhill again.
Did I hear right that TB is making a comeback too?
How is she now? Did I hear right that TB is making a comeback too?
My sister in law has something just now that's floored her for 2 weeks. Breathless, no energy, hacking cough, bottom part of the lungs not working- pneumonia? Her daughter is the same.
Lad I know was in hospital with pneumonia- 38 fit a fiddle.
2 folk at work have similar. Definitely something nasty going round.
I feel like a have a wheeze coming on with a developing cough. I hope it passes!

Last night felt really sick, like novovirus. I fought off Gipping all night. Now I feel dizzy..
Had that a few weeks back - so cold at night no matter what I piled on the bed.Next day couldn't even think about food... and had to be within a few paces of the thunderbox.
... Day after: fine.

I've been under the weather / ill since the first week in January.
Its like a long lingering cold, with a few flu symptoms, with a very bad cough thrown into the mix.
Comes in waves, sometimes you think you are on the mend, the next day - full on symptoms again - just don't seem to be able to shake it.
I was coughing so hard and frequently the week before last, I developed pain around my ribs when I cough - possibly bruised?
Had to take time off work last week for the first time in around 10 years, just didn't have the strength.
Went to my GP - again for the first time in 10 years, he rolled his eyes when I mentioned the lingering cough / flu symptoms and put me on a course of antibiotics for 10 days, which did absolutely bugger all.
Been in bed for 9 the past few weeks, which is very odd - I usually like to keep myself busy and generally have loads of energy until about 12.
To add to the mix, I also had a stomach bug late January which meant I couldnt leave the house during that weekend - lasted about three days, think my record was 20 trips to the loo in one day! Nice.
I had Covid in 2021 - that was a walk in the park in comparison to whatever the hell this is.
I'm 35 and considered myself to be reasonably healthy prior to this!

I've got friends saying very similar time frames - wiped out over xmas - still not right now. They are calling it '90 day flu' - comes in waves, never totally goes away. Its like a long lingering cold, with a few flu symptoms, with a very bad cough thrown into the mix.
