Drive, and park as close to the door as possible.
I was going to post that lol.
Definitely this - keep the exercise focused in the gym.

I cycle and that's my warm-up done.
And then walk home if at my usual gym.

I do a 15 min walk to the gym unless it's raining then I take the car, it takes almost as long to drive because of the way the roads work (several block ends so can't go direct) but walking I can use the walkways. I use the walk as a warm up and the walk back as the cool down.

Mount an electric motor to a skateboard and connect the output to the wheels.
Mount a treadmill to the top of that and connect the power cable to the input of the motor.
Run your way there on the treadmill.

Its a 6 minute drive otherwise a 20 minute walk. Would you walk or drive?
I used to struggle sometimes with motivation to go, and on those days drove.

Getting into the car was easy, and once I arrived I was happy to have a good session, but if I was walking or running there I’d often waste ages “getting ready.”

I jog to the gym. Being a petrol head I don't like starting the engine if i'm not going to run it up to temperature properly. Also means I've done my warm up before hand so can dive straight in to exercise when I arrive.

On a serious note keep your cardio and lifting separate. If putting on lean mass is your goal then about 5 mins jog/whatever should do it.

Do you pass a pub on the way?

I'd rather not risk losing my licence from the pre and post work out beers.

20 minute walk? I wouldn't even think about driving unless I was incredibly tight for time or the weather was awful.

For a beginner? Majoring in the minors given the huge benefits of a more active lifestyle. A decent walk several times per week = big win.

at £4.40 a pop for parking, looks like walking is a no brainer indeed.

Will invest in a raincoat and a spare set of trainers.

I walk circa 2.5 miles round trip to my gym every time I go. I try to avoid driving if I can help it - and I enjoy the walk. Mix of semi rural and urban.

5 times per week. Sometimes more.

Surely unless its 3 foot of snow or a torrential downpour you walk there and back? would be a nice warm up/cool down.
