Getting on for two and a half stone since jan for me. I didn't think I was fat at the time, but in hindsight I was a bit chubby

Thought I'd poke my head in here, bit embarrassed to say my starting weight but 1 month in and I'm down 21 lbs.

Congratulations! Absolutely no need to be embarrassed about your starting weight, but we all understand you not stating it - it's never easy to admit you've let it go too far. The main thing is you're happy and you're losing the excess weight. smile

End of June I was 16st 11lb - now down to 14st 8lb as of this morning. Simply by cutting out fatty sandwiches with soup/chicken at lunchtime and puddings in the evening and by getting back into Tennis/Swimming and Cycling.

I'd like to get down to 13st 10lb eventually. However, i'm in no rush and will let myself get there; however long that takes.

For me, it's the little victories that are keeping me motivated. such as originally going from XL tops to L. Then from 38W 34L trousers to 36W 34L and recently getting into 34W 34L trousers. thumbup

Exactly that! It's far better to see the difference in your body than to worry too much about what the scales say. I'm now wearing S/M clothes rather than L/XL! Very happy with that (although some people are saying I look too thin now).

I've finally got under 100kg! Got another 10lbs to go before I get down to what I want (15 stone).

Body fat percentage is down under 20% at last as well biggrin.

Well I'll kick 2012 off then will I biggrin

I had lost 9lbs in 3 wks when I weighed myself last Friday, but after 3 days of fasting (not planned...after effects of finding out someone I love had lied and cheated on me) I am now 1 stone lighter than I was at the beginning of the year.

PDQ actually, you should feel positive. It has taken me 2 years to lose less than that, albeit I only have myself to blame to at least some degree.

So, well done & keep up the good work. I guess your next big target hurdle is 19st 13lbs?

I have joined the gym fairly recently, and been going for a few weeks now.

I am not exactly obese - 6"2 and around 13-14 stone - but I really do need to get into shape after doing no exercise at all since coming to university.

I go every second day, and try to do 10 mins on the treadmill, cycling machine, and rowing machine with weights in between and doing some abs work after.

Feel a lot better already, more energy during the days and I am sleeping better smile

Belt still not required just yet frown

At your height & weight, not even remotely a bloater. Presumably you're hunting more for fitness than weight loss - I would be!

Well after huge success with Allen Carr's 'Easy Way To Stop Smoking', I'm trying his 'Easyweigh to Lose Weight' book. It's along the same principles, so I'm hoping to have as much success with it as I did with stopping smoking.

Fair enough hehe

I am a little bit concerned as my suit trousers don't really fit around the waist any more paperbag
