I've just had it chasing me down the A1058, i then pulled over and we wrestled in the car park for a bit, i escaped and left it there looking rather stupid.

My OH has had 5 members of staff off in the past month with suspected swine flu, one of them was so bad he went to florida for the week to try and shake it off.

I've got flu at the moment, but as far as I know there's no way to tell if it's swine flu or just normal flu.
Exactly, there seems to be an assumption that anything is now swine flu.

We had a letter home from school on Friday saying a lad in my sons class has suspected swine flu, but they don't test for it any more as it's endemic so who knows what it is.

Really, how was it diagnosed?

My cousin was suspected but they never knew as they wouldn't test, she's fine now.

So, was it closer or further away than you initially put?

Wife might have it, but is probably just a normal bug as she's a bit fluey, just a bit though! She's a teacher so if anyone is going to get it first she will.

Am hoping our six month old doesn't get whatever it is though.

Update: My brother in law has swine flu! Just spoke to my sister, he's had flu like symptoms for over a week, and said that the doctors are just treating every case of flu as swine flu.

His work have said dont come in till next week, ditto my sister. Both been prescribed anti virals.

Whilst I cannot say for sure that he does have swine flu, it is somewhat worrying as my sister is pregnant, but I'm sure it will be fine.

I am keeping a low profile. My MIL has been seriously ill and something like SF (even the man version) might finish her off so I don't want to be the one that brings it to the house. Imagine that for years to come during every domestic agrument;

You gave my Mum the disease that killed her???

Good point - dont' know. She just told me she had swine flu........she works for NHS, so I figured it would be accurate!

Now that's a fantastic oxymoron.
