Has to be done in the gym ideally ! hahaah
I am going to try it this weekend

I did the row the other day in 20.40 and the run this morning in 23.40.. and i do a lot of cycleing so hope that should be the easy bit of the challenege

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... I may try this soon, but I'm still recovering from a foot injury (inflamed tendon and stress fracture to 5th Metatarsal). Recokn on 20-22 min for the row, 24is for the run, then the rest will have to be made up on the cycle.

Depending on if I can actually manage the row I reckon I could give this a good shot, or at least would be something worth aiming for.

Will give it a try either tomorrow or saturday in the gym.

Quite fancy giving this a go tomorrow. Normally do 5km run on the treadmill @ 10kph 1% incline to start with for 5mins, then 12kph so do it 26-27mins. Trying to work on incline running 3-5% @ 10-12kph at mo, god my calfs hurt!

Cycling shouldn't be a problem, but rowing might as i seem to not to be able to keep my arse from sliding off the seat, lol.

I'll give it a bash - haven't done any gym-type cardio for ages (but have been playing squash 3-4 times a week)... will try and get to the gym over the weekend and report back Monday.

wow thats pretty top notch, i think there will be people doing this in about 45-50 minutes...
but aiming for an hour as a first attempt will be a good target - will report back monday

yes 16mins for 5km running is good UK club level (424 men and 5 women ran sub-16:00 last year in certified races). I'd have a go at this challenge except I don't have access to a gym anymore and never ever use rowing machines hehe

Hmm...

Do they have to be done in that order?

Think I'd prefer to do run, cycle, row. Should do it in about 26/10/24 so very tight on the 1 hour goal.

I'd have a go at this challenge except for the fact that I wouldn't actually be very good hehe

Now if you drop it by a factor of 10 for each one I migth be tempted to have a go!

I'm joining a gym soon so I may try this smile I used to do 10k runs in 40 minutes, so guess about 18 or 19 minutes for the 5km run; I've never tried such a short distance so don't know how much faster people generally go. I've no idea how fast I go on an exercise bike, but could probably do 5km on my real bike in about 9 minutes. The rowing is a complete unknown to me!

Did the challenge today at the gym.

First time trying it all at once, so paced myself on the run...

29.36mins 5km running @10kph for 4km then 12kph for the last km, all at 1% incline.

9.46min on the cycle, level 13, roughly 90-95rpm throughout.

21.02mins for the Row (stayed around 2:00-2:10min/500m, strength setting 7)

So just made it in with 16secs to spare, lol.

Pleased with the row as i dont really go near the rowing machine and if i do only really do 1km.

Just back from the gym. 24/22/8.

I cycle at club level so knew that would be OK, but my upper body strength let me down on the row.

As the gym was quiet, I was timing it as 1 exercise on my watch. In my rush to get to the bike, I tripped on the runner of the rower and hit my knee on the runner of the next rower. I'm one cool bd at times.

Are people timing it as one continuous workout or taking the individual times for each one?

I did it as individual times but in reality it would only be less than say 10-20secs moving between each activity.

40mins for 10km is fast!
Thanks. Sadly not anymore for me because I injured my knee frown I was down to 1hr30m in training for a half marathon (my first competitive running event) and was getting no pain or anything. Things were good, then I just woke up with a swollen knee one day. I now can't run for more than 20 minutes frown Sure, I can probably go three miles in that time so would manage this 5k thing, but I really wanted to do half marathons, or at least 10Ks or Triathlons. Shame.

Oh, regarding my times all is not as it seems because I'm 5'10", but that's with the legs of an average guy of 6'2", which obviously gives me a bit of an unfair advantage!!

Had a crack at this today, thought the rowing would be the biggest struggle so did that first. Then the bike then the run.

Managed the row in 21.58, the bike in just over 10 mins, which left me around 27 mins with all the transition times in there aswell. Now as I'm a runner I thought I would be able to do the run in 25, so thought the extra 2 mins was a good bonus. But fk me could I do it!!

Didnt realise how much the rowing took your legs out, I physically couldn't maintain the running pace I needed, gave up after 2km! I reckon if I'd pushed myself I could have done around 1 hour 5 mins but I just felt dead!

Something to aim for now!

might have a go at this soon, been hitting the gym hard for the last few months, and managed to get my 5k time down to just under 29 mins. not great by any standards, but a big improvement on what i used to be able to do!
