circular bullseye rash is the big first indicator for lyme.
Depending on who you talk to it can either be cured after a week of antibiotics or if you leave it you may end up with chronic lymes which will leave you with a horrible array of symptoms for years.
I would insist on a minimum course 7-14 days of doxycline (cheap antibiotic), just to be on the safe side. Drs these days are under so much pressure not to prescribe antibiotics that they dont give you them when they are needed. Lymes is nasty (same type of bug as syphilis) and is a growing problem as deer herds grow in numbers (primary host is deer i think).
If you cannot get the Dr to help then go online to Lloyds chemist and buy the doxyclincie using there online Dr who will prescribe for Malaria.
