It's not the taste that gets me mate, it's just food in the morning. Strange I know but most things don't agree with me at that time, adding flax seed oil just pushed it too far hehe

The H&B stuff I can take no probs later in the day on it's own, which did actually surprise me. One scoop choc, one scoop plain.

The 2.5kg tub from myprotein does sound the better bet next time I'm buying though.
I often feel the same way - had to force protein bars down at breakfast even when they were good tasting ones. Maybe drop the slimy stuff then and just dunk the powder/ shake? Or can you take a glass of milk 1st thing?

I've started trying to get up and force myself to at least have some toast before driving to work and I'm now adding a glass of milk.

I dont get on too bad with porridge just need to get my backside up in time to make it and eat it before leaving.

Thats why some form of smoothie would have been ideal. Up, shower, dressed, out the door, drink on the way to work.

If the smoothie seems the best option then the one I described earlier could be worth trying. Nutritious, non repulsive(!) and easy to take - I carry mine to work in a blender flask and can sip it on the way to work when stuck in traffic jams etc.

MyProtein is very well priced.

I personally found it too sweet! The Carbs in it tend to be made up of ALOT of sugars which is bad.

My personal favourite supplement is Reflex (Strawberry). A bit more expensive but tastes ok and has high quality whey.

Like anything in life, you get what you pay for. High quality whey is important to me.

But if MyProtein works for you, then crack on!

Bit confused with what you're saying really...

Myprotein sell a vast amount of products.. Depends what product you purchase as to carb or sugar content.

And why the need for 'high quality whey' its predominantly branding and if you knew about dairy then you'd probably have realised you're pretty much a fool smile

And anyway, rather than wasting money on supplements you're better off purchasing food and test prop.
Ok. I'm not going to erupt a textbook PH arguement as I don't feel I have to justify myself to anyone on here smile

All I am saying is that I found MyProtein too sugary and that I use and prefer PERSONALLY Reflex Instant Mass.

I don't agree with the branding comment but I agree you pay extortionate amounts on some things due to the brand. CLOTHING.

If MyProtein is your favourite, then great. But I have definitely seen better results with Reflex. PERSONALLLLLY!!!!

I have put on 2 stone in 5 months whilst keeping the bodyfat the same. So I am not changing a thing lol

Myprotein doesn't use sugar in the products I've checked, they use sucralose which which is a zero calorie substitute. Clearly it may be too sweet for you but it's not 'bad' for you as you suggest.

Two Oatabix
Two Bananas
One pint of Milk
Two scoops of Natural Whey (Bananas flavour)
Almond (Natural) Flavouring

Tastes better without the Oatabix. But it gives the Rocky rank power drink effect.

I have no real brand loyalty.. My last purchase was of a branded 5kg tub of 90% protein (casein+whey) for £40

2 stone in 5 months is fantastic work! But also keeping the same bodyfat but being 2 stone heavier is technically gaining fat wink

Also I'm guessing you didnt spot my roid ref tongue out

Roid ref?

I will admit, I am not the brightest ball in the bag! Elaborate ...

I have managed to keep my body fat at around 8% - 10% ... But that's not hard as I am naturally really skinny ...

Lol

I think what he's saying is:

If you're 200lb and have 10% BF - you're carrying 20lb of fat.

If you're 250lb and still 10% BF - you're carrying 25lb of fat.

So, whilst you're 2 stone heavier, You've not just gained lean muscle, you're also carrying more fat.

That's fine then. I probably needed more anyway ...
